Lou Dobbs Smashes Glass
He has that guy Glass on who he battles with.

The defining moment was Galss touting the famous "Job training" card.

Lou called his bet... "What jobs are they going to train for"? (smiling)

Glass "well, we don't know... uhhh Software engineer"

Dobb's is smiling and laughing inside... We all know those are the jobs that are going to India.

Hilarious. Like I said yesterday, the Repukes have nothing to sell but "black is white and white is black". Nothing but pure lies.

Thank GOD for Lou Dobbs - the one credible voice of truth on TV.

1. Lou is the man...
Who would have thought? I loved when he pointed out that this administration is mortgaging the future for generations of children.
At least someone is not afraid to tell the truth...

2. You got that right!!!
I have recently started watching him, because I always watch CNN. I really like Anderson Cooper and his 360. Lou is just before him. I have come to appreciate Lou's feature Exporting of America. You are right on, when you say 'credible voice of truth'.

4. I Though Lou Was A Little Weak Tonight.
Edited on Thu Mar-11-04 06:58 PM by jayfish
Here is an example. Glass said that the number of jobs that were going to be exported over the next decade was minuscule. It was something like 12,000 per month. He then turned around and tried to say the the next big thing was in-sourcing. He said look at Toyota, they are going to be adding 35,000 jobs in the US. Lou didn't catch the obvious contrast. I think he is tired.

EDITED FOR WORD USAGE.

5. I almost gave up on him
during his interview with Michael Moore when he kept asking him to say he liked Bush*. I am glad I didn't, he has been doing some great reporting lately.

6. Makes your brain melt
Train for your new job.

What job?

Well, the American economy is so dynamic, that we don't know what the jobs of the future will be.

Then how do I know which job to train for?

Just train yourself.

But for what?

The jobs of the future.

Which will be?

We're not sure.

But now that I'm fired, I need to train for a new job.

Yes.

In what field?

The new one.

Which is?

Exactly.

So basically, the future American life will consist of working, getting fired, training for a new job; then working, getting fired from your new job, training for a new job; then working, getting fired from your new job, training for a new job...

Well, at least we'll all be busy working and training. Oh yeah, and consuming.

10. isn't that dialog from a Samuel Beckett play???

actually, it's really good. i've saved it.

how would you feel if I used it as a little 'intro' scene in the political revue I'm putting together? (possibly cut a bit for length)

you can PM me if you want details about the project.

17. I know someone who has that job!
Seriously. She just trains people in "management" in businesses where she has no expertise. Takes them on 'retreats' and stuff. My favorite was when seh was a trainer for a cable company and she didn't have cable on her tv (which she never watched anyway.) She does quite well, though she does have to change jobs more frequently than I would like.

Only another 26,000 points to go, eh Jim?

Glassman is just another tired ol' business press whore who got kicked upstairs to AEI when the freedom fry vat broke down.

16. Dobbs
I thought the chart he showed with the 3 million private jobs
lost in Bush's term, and the 750,000 (or so) gained - but only
in government jobs - was dynamite.

I think it ought to be next to Kerry at every appearance.

I've never seen it presented more clearly.
