Right-wing hacks hijack Congressional site to attack Kerry...
Read Josh Marshall today on the use of a taxpayer-funded Congressional site to attack John Kerry.

<http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com>

My letter to them:

Why is this site being used for partisan political purposes?

John Kerry is right. You people will stop at nothing. THESE ARE MY TAX DOLLARS paying for your site, and I object to you using it to smear Senator Kerry.

I also object to the term Democrat Party. You know better. It's the Democratic Party. Using the term Democrat as an adjective is not only stupid, it's also a clear indicator of who wrote the story--a partisan Republican hack. Or is that Repub?

We're not backing down this time. See you in November at the fake cowboy set in Crawford that the unelected fraud calls home. Maybe he can spend his time off learning the difference between a cow and a bull. During the four years your propped-up dauphin has been taking orders from Cheney, we've sure learned what bull is.

2. not literally
I guess my headline was misleading. In a way it's even worse--these are Congressional staffers who wrote this!

From the site:

"Washington, DC - Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry is quoted in today’s edition of Greenwire as saying, “that black stuff is hurting us,” with regard to oil. Members of the House Committee on Resources found the Senator’s comment absurd.

“John Kerry is dead wrong,” Chairman Richard W. Pombo (R-CA) said. “Oil doesn’t hurt Americans; John Kerry’s anti-energy policies hurt Americans. In fact, this is exactly the kind of rhetoric and bad policy that has led to the outsourcing of good American energy jobs."
