Did you notice the things Bush wants to run on as opposed to those he does NOT want to run on?? I think it’s a comparison the Kerry campaign should capitalize on. First take a look at the two big things he wants to wrap himself in:
1. Climbing on a heap of charred bodies with a bullhorn leads the list. Makes him automatically a leader and great president...right?? (don’t bring up that it happened on his watch; nor that he hid out for the day; nor that he opposed a 9/11 commission, etc....shhhhh, too much info for the public).
2. Iraq (wave those flags)---the bravery of over 500 US troops dead and thousands of dead Iraqis. Nothing like war and brave dead says “great leader”. (shhhh...don’t mention it was a stinking lie that sent them to their deaths).
Now look at what he doesn’t want to run on:
1. Real jobs for real, live people---shut up; outsourcing jobs, killing overtime pay and lowering wages is good for the Amureakan people.
2. Health care so that live people don’t turn into dead people---grow up; health care is for those who can afford it. If you can’t, you actually deserve to die and so do your children. Kind of a natural weeding out process of the best, you know.
3. Senior citizens---come on, we all know that if everyone (except the Kenny Lay rich) would drop dead at age 65, this country would be a lot better off. So let the drug companies have their way with the old buzzards before they can’t afford the meds any longer and die.
4. Education---regular people’s kids only need to do two things in life: serve the rich and/or be used as fodder in the corporate wars to come; so why bother educating the brats.
And the list goes on......Bush loves dead people but loathes the living. Perhaps it’s because dead people can’t oppose him. Maybe a better background for Bush’s ads would be scenes of various graveyards across the land. I’d like the Kerry campaign to point out that Kerry and the Dems are fighting for the living while Bush and the Republicans drape themselves in images of the dead (whom they made dead) to obscure their hate and distaste for the living.
