Pacifa Radio reporter Pina reports for last time due to threats. (Haiti)

Pacifica Radio reporter Kevin Pina who has been reporting daily from Haiti on KPFA's radio show 'Flashpoint' to host Dennis Bernstein today announced that he was getting reports of mass murder of people he knows. He had a report of people being crammed into an outhouse and then set on fire. He also said that he realized that he had become a target for reprisal and needed to "change his situation" so today would be his last report until further notice since any reporters who told the outside world the truth of the coup were targets for intimidation.

How very sad to hear the resignation and distress in his voice knowing that our own government was responsible for unleashing the madness he must now hide from.

I've been listening to Pina on KPFA everyday and driving past the station in Berkeley on the way to work so it feels like someone close to me down there in Haiti along with all the natives suffering the terrorism and the coup. We mustn't let our Senators and Congresspeople avoid dealing with this grotesque outrage. Impeach...now.
