NBC/WSJ poll is bad news for dumbo
EIGHTY PERCENT say chimpo is responsible for the economy

approval rating is around 46% now

BUT.....he's still two points ahead of Kerry....?????

and another BUT......he was ahead by NINETEEN in January

Marky Mark Ratcoat is on now, defending the booming economy, touting ALL the great numbers, then defending the jobloss recovery by spewing that BS about dumbo never resting as long as there's ONE American who's looking for a job without one.

well, I know ONE American I pray that'll be looking for a job in just about exactly eight months

9. yes, and the reason it's not working is
the average working stiff -like us - can just look around and see - know - FEEL - that things are not "getting better". We see the evidence we are being lied to.

7. Don't worry about Bush's 2-point margin over Kerry
I just checked past NBC/WSJ polls on http://www.pollingreport.com and found something interesting: In their September poll, Bush's rating was just 49 percent but the closest any Dem came to him was 7 points. They seem to have Bush's matchup numbers higher than other polls with similar approval ratings, for whatever reason.
Also, keep in mind that if Bush is under 50 percent approval-wise, he ain't gonna win.

11. This from politicalwire.com may explain it
"Americans have sharply lost confidence in the economy in recent weeks," according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll, which also showed that Sen. John Kerry "had pulled into a statistical tie" with President Bush.

"Bush was favored by 47 percent of respondents, while 45 percent backed Kerry, a difference that was within the poll’s reported margin of sampling error of 3.1 percentage points."

However, it is "difficult to gauge the importance of the result, which was notably at odds with those of other polls in the past week which have found Kerry with a statistically significant lead in a head-to-head matchup."

13. that would be the unctuous-sounding Mark Racicot
who first gained notoriety as the smooth-talking front man during the actual election-theft process, which occurred between 11/7 and 12/12/2000

how was he rewarded for his slimy face time: he's their campaign chairman!

The Bu$h Campaign
Campaign Chairman Lies About Bush Volunteering For Viet Nam

It's amazing how easily the Big Lies flow from the Bush Campaign.

Just when you start debating how much or whether the president's military service record should be an issue in this campaign, you realize that the main reason it's an issue is that the president and his surrogates just won't stop lying about it.
This morning Bush campaign chairman Marc Racicot was interviewed by Juan Williams on NPR. When asked about the president's Air National Guard service he said, the president's and John Kerry's service "compare very favorably... He (i.e. the president) signed up for dangerous duty. He volunteered to go to Vietnam. He wasn't selected to go, but nonetheless served his country very well..."

He volunteered to go to Vietnam?

Marc, no he didn't.

Does he think no one is listening?

(For some reason Williams, made no effort to call him on it.)

Let's set aside the fact that pulling strings to get into the Air National Guard in 1968 is, on its face, quite the opposite of volunteering to go to Vietnam. When the president signed up for the National Guard there was a check box asking whether he wanted to volunteer for overseas service. And he checked off "do not volunteer."

You know, maybe folks should contact The NPR Ombudsman and let him know that you don't like journalists that are complicit in spreading such heinous propaganda.

14. margin of error
That 2% is probably within the margin of error. All the poles that I have seen show Kerry ahead or within the margin of error (this is the first one with Bush ahed at all) Besides its a long way to go. The way the economy is going Bush is toast.
