3. In hospital lingo
When someone goes into cardiac arrest, they send for the "crash cart" which has the defibullator to restart the heart or shock the heart out of fibullation (where it just quivers like spastic jello and doesn;t pump any blood).

Cheney actually has a defibullator in his chest which monitors his heart and shocks it when it gets erratic.
