Elizabeth Bumiller's "White House Letter" in today's NYT
Edited on Mon Mar-08-04 05:24 PM by PCIntern
She's the new spokeswoman for the campaign it seems. She talked and talked about how good a mood Bush was in, that Karl didn't orchestrate the media buy, Bush did, and that he essentially got the drop on Kerry with the phone call on Super Tuesday.

Even her disclaimer is punctuated with "Despite the bruising..." and the best part is that Bush knows Kerry's voting record 'cold'.

Right.

1. So Kerry is "the most liberal senator in the Senate"?
He's not even the most liberal senator in his STATE!

5. "Real quick-do you think God is on America's side?"
Is she the idiot in that last debate that asked Kerry that question? And then proceeded to get in an argument with Sharpton?
If that's her, the blogsphere rated her performance as the worst since Nixon sweated all over his podium!

6. Yes...
and also stepped all over the answers - the worst performance since Judy Woodruff's sighing.

And they made fun of Gore...also, do you recall when Carole Simpson said something really dopey to Perot, like "Oh you're just so silly..." or words to that effect?

What is it with these people?

7. Bumiller--the WH shill
Bumiller spun for the WH about a week too when she wrote an article about Bush's body language when talking about the FMA, claiming it proved that he really, really didn't want to discriminate against gays, and that he has a lot of gay friends. It was the same spin I heard a couple of nights later on Charlie Rose--Rich Lowery of the National Review talked about Bush's "body language." (The Daily Howler wrote about Bumiller in a good column last week: <http://www.dailyhowler.com/dh030204.shtml >

I have tried and tried to find a way to e-mail Bumiller but can't find a link on the NY Times web site. I would love to write to her. What a phony. She also said that ridiculous "You're in New York" line in the debate. I guess a Danish Ohioan has to try harder to sound like she's from NY.

She must view this as her big chance--just like those reporters who led the charge against Gore.

8. These 'correspondents' need to know
that those of us who are reading them are well-aware of their biases and will hold their feet to the fire if they don't mark their inappropriately slanted columns as 'commentary'.

What the heck happened to that practice?

Elisabeth McCarthy Bumiller.

I have cancelled the Times, except Sunday. I guess that has to go too. It makes me sick.
