14 year old voters?

Someone help me out. My mom told me she heard some congressman on the news this weekend yap about another amendemnt to allow 14 year olds the right to vote.

Anyone else see this?

1. I like the 18 year old rule. Kids shouldn't have to pay taxes, imo

Unless they make over $5000 a year. I find it absolutely stupid to expect a kid to pay income tax for babysitting or a paper route. Taxation without representation.

About if 14 year olds were given the vote...all over 30's ended up in detention camps being pumped full of LSD...HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

3. Uh, no. I don't think most 14 year olds are ready to vote

It's unfair in the sense that they have no control at this time of shaping the country the will inherit, but that is life.

4. Most fourteen year olds today can't even spell vote

I doubt very seriously if many even know who the vice President is or any of the cabinet members.

5. I wish they would lower it to 16

that seems more reasonable. Plus if it was 16 I could vote in this election. Since it's still 18..I can't. I'm "too young" by one month.
