If Bush is 6 feet tall, then Fox (of Mexico) must be 10 feet tall. Bush
comes to his shoulder. I noticed when they were walking along that Bush walked way far from Fox and when they were going to speak their lecterns were way far apart - so they couldn't be compared I assume.

I guess when a person is unliked - as I don't like Bush - even their appearance is irritating. And I believe another of his lies is his height.

Bah, humbug - I need my morning cup of java so I want be so grouchy :)

4. chimp padded his shoes during debates with gore
in debate negotiations chimps side actually said debates where both would be standing and could be seen at the same time would be unfair. they wanted a sit down debate, and i think they got 1. in the other debates chimp's shoes were padded to make him appear taller than he is. the problem is that his "smallness" has more to do with things other than just his physical height.

his sockcockwalk on the Carrier is a perfect example. They must've held tryouts ahead of time to find the smallest AWOL supporters there..

According to this link http://www.usnews.com/usnews/news/election/heightstats.htm the chimp is only 5'11". Of course, Rove probably had him grow a couple of inches in the last few years.. heh..

Notice how AWOL is straining to stand up as tall as possible as President Gore looks down on the chimp?

40. Kerry is 6'5"....
SNL did a pretty funny piece on Edwards "campaign" against Kerry, suggesting that he was really campaigning for VP all along. I won't go into the whole skit, but basically it was implying that all of Edwards' criticisms of Kerry were really compliments and one of them was the "accusation" that at 6'5" and __ lbs, Kerry will be the "tallest, leanest president in the history of the United States."

5. I noticed that too
Bush looks more and more diminuative as time progresses. He not only looked small, but he acted small during that press conference.

The best part of it though was when he said the following in defense of his 9/11 ads:

“How this administration handled that day as well as the war on terror is worthy of discussion,”

"First of all, I will continue to speak about the effects of 9/11 on our country and my presidency,"

"How this administration handled that day, as well as the war on terror, is worthy of discussion," he said. "And I look forward to discussing that with the American people. And I look forward to the debate about who best to lead this country in the war on terror."

http://www.nytimes.com/2004/03/07/politics/campaign/07CAMP.html

It sort of sounds like he just painted himself into a corner concerning testifying publically under oath to the 9/11 commission.

31. Yup.
Well, well. Something that Mr. Bush and I can agree on at long last. Yes, let's discuss how he and his administration handled that day.

Democrats, you are now free to use the Booker video and any other data you have about "how this administration handled that day". Bush opened the door with his ads, and has now propped it in the open position. You are not the ones politicizing it -- he already did.

PLEASE USE YOUR OPENING and waste these guys (metaphorically of course) -- because his / their handling of that day was AT BEST criminal dereliction of duty. For starters, let's find out how the chain of command is supposed to operate. Then let's find out how that corresponds to what we know of that day -- that the President* either was NOT INFORMED as events progressed, or he DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO and therefore DID NOTHING, or... worse.

Bring it on!

If you look through google images, you'll see there are a couple of photos showing the two walking together, with Fox towering above Bush, but they are inactive links now, and can't be used.

I think they've carefully killed most of the ones which clearly show how short Bush actually is, compared to some other Presidents. It seems they're hypersensitive.

but Jeb at the time was not a bad looking man. This was right before he became governor of FL and was touring the state. But that is why he's even more scary than his brother. In person, he came across as sincere and concerned, he can speak the English language adequately and seemed very reasonable. He even gave me his card and invited me to correspond with him, regarding some community work I was involved in.

BTW: Yes, he does have a large head but it was not out of proportion with the rest of him, he's just a big boy. Kinda like Baby Huey.

at 5'6" and a son who appears that he wont grow to be much taller then I. This obsession with the height of our President is actually a shame .I thimk of the very able politician that will never run for the office ,because others tell them they are to short to win .This shows a shallowness of the voting public ,if this is the way we pick our leaders. I always try to make sure my son has a good self image by telling him that its the size of your heart & the knowledge in your brain that makes you bigger ! Thank God ,that years ago the Americans where not so obsessed with size .We would never have had a President Truman ,or one of the very best Franklin D. Roosevelt. I know since those days ,for instance in sports ,it appears the players just keep getting bigger and bigger. However in sports I can see where size would make a differance .However in politics ,we need brain powerand a warm heart ,so those who have less are not forgotten. The reality is however, that size does make a differance ,so Iam glad we are going to have Kerry running against bush ! Even myself ,I was concerned that if Dean had won the nomination, his shoter stature might make the differance ! This is what we should be looking at >IQ order:
182 .. William J. Clinton (D)
175 .. James E. Carter (D)
174 .. John F. Kennedy (D)
155 .. Richard M. Nixon (R)
147 .. Franklin D. Roosevelt (D)
132 .. Harry Truman (D)
126 .. Lyndon B. Johnson (D)
122 .. Dwight D. Eisenhower (R)
121 .. Gerald Ford (R)
105 .. Ronald Reagan (R)
098 .. George HW Bush (R)
091 .. George W. Bush (R)
How come the lowest five on the list are all repugs ? My God, Clinton has double the I.Q. then bush jr. , now things are becoming clearer !

And the kid says "Because you are my father?' I think of Bush every time I see it. Hard work sometimes makes up for high IQ and we also see that who you know also does. They used to say the tallest man has always won the race for President. I am not sure that is very important as we had one man said to be short about 5'6" and he ruled all of Europe.

...and I tend to agree. W has an IQ of 91? I seriously doubt it. I'd guestimate closer to 80. Poppy was no brain trust either -- 98 is around average and he's way below average. He had to "stand" next to Dan Quayle to even appear sentient if you'll recall -- he spent his administration drugged out to the point of puking on other world leaders. The GOP picks stupid men because they make better puppets -- can't have anyone in charge with a mind of his own, it could interfere with the looting and stealing.

44. it isn't his height
that matters. It's the fact that he can't seem to tell the truth about anything. Why would we care that he is only 5'9 or 5'10? What is this compulsion he has to be superman? I can't wait till the day that f***head is gone.

know this so they put him in those silly cowboy boot lifts. Curious George would much rather go barefoot and swing from a tree...perhaps a little white house in a banana tree in Crawford would make him happier and maybe he could learn some new tricks (instead of the tired old ones we're all sick of).
