Edited on Thu Mar-04-04 04:28 AM by stepnw1f
only because of an opinion about sexuality and will prove to be detrimental to the Republican Party? I wouldn't want to be part of the Homophobe party, would you? Bizarre!

4. They were talking about it on the radio, only heard a few min.
Swear they said 97% in Mass wanted an amendment, It was one of those talk show that just go on talking hate but I was wondering where they got that. Something about it was the people who voted for Kerry!!!!!!!I see marriage as a contract and frankly do not care if gays want to sigh a contract or not. I do not have to do it even if it is a law. Right now gays could draw up a contract and sigh it under the law. Who cares what they call it? I think if the right wing gets a amendment going it may pass congress but not sure about the number of states it needs. I hate to see the base laws of this country messed up with that stuff and if it gets on I am sure the Republicans will try and add more. For years they have had tons of these waiting to go and have pushed them off and on. I would go with English as what we speak as we need something that brings us together as one country.Specially if Bush and going to let in more illegal aliens.

5. Ah, the Party Of Smaller Government!
Every damn time something comes along that they don't like, the first thing they want to do is amend the Constitution. Another set of laws to enforce, more money to enforce the laws and another layer of bureaucracy. And they bleat about reducing the size of gubmint!

Proposing amendments is something the Pugs do with whining great regularity. But I think this time it's going to bite them in their sagging white asses!

same sex marraiges gets ugly press coverage it could play to *'s advantage and to the detriment of Dems.

So far I would say that the media coverage has been neutral. The gay couples in the coverage appear to be normal mainstream people, versus "perverted radicals." If they continue to present themselves with the quiet dignity we have been seeing, people will be less fearful of them gaining their rights.
