AOL POLL -- Kerry v Bush 4:05am et
http://aolsvc.news.aol.com/elections/article.adp?id=20040301115209990003

If the election were held today, who would get your vote?

John Kerry 65%
George W. Bush 35%

Would Edwards make the best running mate for Kerry?

Yes 69%
No 31%

Total Votes: 88,063

--------------

article on the page mentions that bush*'s numbers are dropping which is prompting an earlier release of campaign ads...

according to other news stories -bush* ads will first focus on how well bush* leads, his vision etc. -- This is an attempt to create a picture of steadiness (i.e. stay the course). the ads will be followed by attack ads on Kerry, depicting Kerry as a waffler (i.e his voting record)

Meanwhile - one of bush*'s ads focuses on how bush* "INHERITED" a recession... --- let's all blame Clinton again

1. Unbalanced
Keep in mind, this poll is on the internet, and thus does not include many of Bush's key supporters, such as those too ignorant to work a computer, dumbass hicks, and those who believe that the internet is a tool of the DEVIL!

2. I realize that internet polls are "skewed"
but in the past, AOL's polls have run more closely favoring bush*...

11. Concur with your replies on this.
FReepers are WAY over-represented at AOHell. Most of the "dumbass hicks" who have computers use AOHell because it's easy, or at least they think it is. The idea that they could open up a browser and get access to the internet without having it pre-digested by AOHell is scary for lots of folks.

4. Internet polls
Well, they certainly are unbalanced but, lets take the good news. It will be interesting to see how this starts to look when the Bu$h campaign machine starts spinning up to full steam.

6. Wingie Dingies About To Alter That Poll
Knowing what I know about some of the right-wing psychotics and sociopathic posters on AOL, I expect that such poll results are about to be altered so that Dubya will win an "overwhelming" victory. Vote early and often, you know.

What might make the November election especially sweet is that barring electronic corruption by Diebold and others, the size of a Boosh regime electoral defeat might stun his wingie-dingie supporters.

That's a pretty big shift...

John Kerry 56%
George W. Bush 44%
Total Votes: 159,552

on edit:

If with first 88,063 votes we had John Kerry 65% and George W. Bush 35% and now at 159,552 votes we have the results we see above, that's a big shift. In fact the percentages for the 71,000 votes that followed the first 88,063 votes would need to be something like Kerry 45% Bush 55%.

I guess the bottom line is on-line polls are pretty useless for anything other than amusing yourself.
