My Conservative Roomate says he might vote for Kerry/Edwards ticket
or Kerry/Clark. he said he was tired of Bush pandering to the religious right and being in bed with a different special interest every night. Moderate Republicans are coming over, we just gotta keep the message strong and hope Bush keeps on aligning himself with the radical Christian right. I think everybody's had enough of them in govt.

1. The fact that
your conservative roommate "might" vote for Kerry proves the point of those of us who think we "might" stay home in November because Kerry is no liberal anyway.

2. so we should exclude those dissafected with Bush
for the sake of "liberals" who are content with 4 more years of Bush? I don't like the idea of cutting off my nose to spite my face.

a disaffected rep considers voting for Kerry and this is "poof" that
Kerry is a crypto fascist. you are desperate to whine about anything. This is The democratic underground not the green underground or the communist underground. Good luck with the hopeless lefty thing.

8. Yes, your post WAS unnecessarily argumentative
While this lefty certainly doesn't agree with the poster you responded to, your post turns me off even MORE.

This is The democratic underground not the green underground or the communist underground. Good luck with the hopeless lefty thing.

Here's a hint on coalition building -- it usually doesn't help to throw around such overgeneralized insults. Why? Because while you may not get the person with whom you're disagreeing to come around to your point of view, there will always be other who come along and read what you posted, who MIGHT come around to your point of view. When they read such overgeneralized slurs and stereotypes as you have written, they will instead tend to get even more turned off rather than swayed.

Just some friendly advice on how to win friends and influence people....

6. It sounds as though, given the alternatives,
another four years of the junta is fine with you.

4. What he should do is read Free Republic for a week or so.
It is so funny. They always kill off the person with the news, for one thing, and they pick on spelling, and will take no one that just does not say they are right. I am also willing to bet they are pure WASP, as they hate anything different. They also cure all faults with death. They seem to wish to kill anything that moves. It has to be the right wing of the right wing. My whole family were in the Republican party and none were like that. They also seem to think God gave us special powers to convert the world. That is hard to take as it has been used by every one since history started. If God really speaks to George they will be for him down the line.
