YES!!!Humboldt County The recall of Paul Gallegos failed! Pacific Lumber
Edited on Wed Mar-03-04 12:59 AM by Zinfandel
Company (PLC) financed the bullshit recall and the people of Humboldt County truly got together and kicked the shit out of PLC, the Humboldt County Conservatives, the same right-wing recall firm out of Sacramento that worked for Schwarzenegger and helped get him elected with the same lies that didn't work here in Humboldt County...simply because the people got the truth, about big corporations (PLC) lies and money and tried to buy and overturn last years election.

Now PLC, Maxxam and Charles Hurwitz, are going to go down for their greedy clear cutting and land erosion lies, in court.

Cheers to all the liberal progressives in Humboldt County California!

YES!!! The effort was worth it wasn't it?

Long live Paul Gallegos!!!

P.S. Dennis Kucinich got 15%+ of the vote here; Statewide he currently leads Dean and is in 3rd place with ~5% of the vote.

11. Timber companies
Congratulations Humboldt, from down Alameda way!
I have to say though, while it would be great to see Pacific Lumber sent packing, rather than completely kill the timber industry, isn't there room for local, sustainable timber industry in Humboldt?

16. "Sustainable timber" is no "industry".
We don't control corporations in this country any more, and they sure aren't honorable enough to be responsible on their own.

8. I have often thought
that if I had to move someplace in the US, Humboldt county would have to be my first pick. Glad to see I was right. Rock on Humboldt.

I believe a revolution just might have occurred! The streets of Arcata have been lined with NO RECALL GALLEGOS like you've never seen before.

It was a hard fight believe me!

It made that hanging of OUR American flag scene after 9/11 look like joke! It was real people with real issues, not a game nor a pandemonium! The crooks did not win for a change!

TIMBER COMPANIES OUT OF HUMBOLDT COUNTY! You've already taken MORE THAN YOUR SHARE!!!

Horrorwitzzzz, I hope you rot in jail with the rest of the crooks!
