Edited on Mon Mar-01-04 10:01 PM by koopie57
ever heard of the Republican Liberty (caucus)? The only explanation I can get is "it's a Republican organization with a libertarian bent--basically a bunch of libertarians who want to work from within the GOP." Considering I am an Al Franken liberal, is there anything this group and I would have in common politically. Does it even exist or is it similar to muffler bearings?

1. The RLC
The RLC's purpose for existing is to falsely portray Republican politicians to make them appear more "libertarian" than they really are. They do this by putting out congressional voting guides that have the votes they use deliberately skewed to make Republicans look "libertarian" across the board, and to make Democrats look "authoritarian".

Not even serious libertarians take the RLC seriously. The RLC's purpose is to woo Libertarian Party types back into the Republican Party.
