You DO know this is about the Cuba invasion............right?
I mean....I don't have to explain this, do I?
Oh, and it is also about the reversal of all Clinton policies.
One of the people now "in charge" has a political hero: Pinochet.
Oh, and for those who are slow: I meant the UPCOMING Cuba invasion, not the Bay of Pigs.

1. Who exactly are you addressing?
Is it necessary to imply your audience consists of idiots?

Does condescension function effectively as a way to win friends and influence people?

6. Well, I'm sure word got to bunnypants about all those mean things
Castro said in a recent speech. Just mocked him, and essentially called Bush a fucking moron. Had his auience in stitches. I wonder if Castro knows he sealed his fate, or just doesn't care? I know, any other time we could say "oh come on, the president is not going to invade a country cuz he was mocked and ridiculed by it's leader...I mean come on."
It is also about Bush's religous belief that he is God's chosen whose mission is to tidy up ALLLLLLLL the things that have been a nagging problem to other administrations. To show he has the balls.
Cuba invasion. Count on it.
By the way, the only "dense ones" are the republican lurkers....I should have made it a clearer post. Got Eileen pissed at me already.

4. How can it be an 'invasion' if we already invaded?
Don't we already have a beachhead established at Guantanamo Bay?

7. I'll be happy to be corrected, but
isn't Guantanamo on one side of Cuba's stretch, and Haiti facing the other side? I don't think an invasion is going to happen from one side of the island only.

11. Gitmo is on the east end, as is Haiti
So you might be right- we need to use the pincer move. But isn't Dubya sending three ships into the Caribbean? Perhaps this will be the launching platform for the other end.

5. That makes sense
We get esconced in Haiti, and then we "discover" that Cuba is threatening Haiti with WMD. Voila! Instant excuse to invade Cuba. That's a thoroughly plausible scenario.

Except for the French--while they have their own reasons for wanting to have forces in Haiti, would they really look the other way while the US launched a pre-emptive strike against Cuba?

9. Chavez just called Bush an "asshole"
Chavez IS gone.
So...when did Europe say they were going to have that military ready to counter U.S. hegemony...cuz I think they need to hurry that up.
