Reporter is looking for PA IT Workers lost job to outsourcing
Edited on Mon Mar-01-04 07:22 PM by rmpalmer
Just got this email from Dem Charlie Crystal who was running for Dem Senate nominee in PA till he dropped out. If you know anyone contact him. Please pass this on if you know anyone. This is email from him.

Last week a number of PA State legislators and I held a press conference in front of Earthlink, which is moving 400 local jobs overseas. In my address I named Infotech, Deloitte & Touche, and Covansys as some of the companies to whom the state is paying large sums of money while they use offshore or in-sourced (L-1) labor.

By the end of the week, the Department of Labor and Industry announced it had withdrawn from one of the contracts where it was using cheap foreign labor!

A Pittsburgh reporter has contacted me and would like to speak with any of you who have had to go through the pain of training your replacement. Please let me know as soon as possible and I will get you in touch with the reporter. I'm fairly certain he's mostly interested in PA cases--if you know of anyone, please have them contact me!

Thank you,

Charlie Crystle

lots of people used to work for DuPont and the other chemical concerns in nearby Wilmington Del (live in Philly area).
