Clear Channel shows the Janet breast thing on one of their websites!
Edited on Mon Mar-01-04 08:43 AM by RatTerrier
Lookee here:

http://kiss1035.com/onair/javajoel.html

Ironic they are hyping their 'zero tolerance' policy so much, but they have the infamous Janet Jackson breas incident on one of their stations' sites. :wtf:

Even more ironic is that it is a station that gears itself toward a young audience (KISS 103.5 in Chicago is a Top 40 station).

An oversight, or major hypocricy?

1. There's even a close-up!
Right there, on the front page, over and over, and a tightened shot!

That's funny. I'm surprised there isn't a porn warning that pops up over it.

4. Well...
It looks like they removed it this morning.

I saw this link posted on a Chicago radio message board this morning. Looks like CC felt the heat.

Disregard then. Sorry.

5. My child is a ClearChannel Program Director for a Rock Station
I checked his station's website and found nothing had changed.

On query about this issue last week, he said the for them it's about avoiding multi-hundred thousand dollar fines from the FCC. The websites apparently operate under much less stringent rules...things such as "Thong of the Day" "Hottie of the Day" etc...remain in bounds.

That the websites far exceed the standards used on air may be hypocracy, but the stations push limits to sell the "shock." It makes sense that all radio stations would be seeking to avoid big fines.

6. I notice many CC rock stations...
...have some pretty raunchy female pics on the site (Babe of the Month).

Wonder if those are still there?
