Boycott Exxon, Mobile , Walmart,
What if we could organize DU, moveon.org, mediawhores, buzzflash, bartcop etc members to boycott these bloodsucking companies, would it have any impact?

7. welcome to du xanth
Walmart is basically a slave plantation, minimum wage, no benefits, half of their employees medical expenses are subsidized by taxpayers, the two gas companies have been gouging the public for years, Walmart buys ten percent of China's total production. It looks like you and I are the only ones NOT boycotting them, I Appreciate your response.

8. Not the whole problem....
So you don't shop Walmart.... But the consumer drive to have cheaper prices still have the same effects globally. Case in point Best Buy having to lay off 400+ people, To compete with Walmart they honor lower prices that you find at Walmart, thus still forcing compinies to search overseas for cheep labor.

12. Exxon and Mobil are the same company!
It would be extremely hard to boycott an oil company. Sure you can stop buying gas at a station labeled "Exxon" or "Mobil," but they sell to independent gas stations. They sell chemicals. They sell plastics.

Boycotting Wal-Mart, OTOH, is easy and fun: Just stop going there.

13. I have despised Walmart from their beginning. They have really
ruined small town businesses, which should still be the backbone of our country. It is good if in addition to boycotting them and spreading the word that we let them know that we do not appreciate the way they treat their employees. I boycott all the named gas companies. On Thursday the price for gas is $1.49, by Friday it's $1.79. Even my brother, whom I am working on to vote Dem, thinks that Walmart is instrumental in the destruction of the country's economy and soul.

17. Walmart becoming largest political contributor
with 85% of their money going to the GOP. That's reason enough for me to boycott them.
