Atlanta DU'ers: Radio winger "The Kimmer" under fire from conservatives
Ironic that the very people he panders to would bite him on the ass.

Funny, too.

The Atlanta Family Coalition applauded Clear Channel Radio President/CEO John Hogan for his efforts "to restore decency to the airwaves." But, in a letter sent by the group to Hogan, the coalition asked the executive if he was aware "of the daily, incessant stream of vulgarity and crude sex references" on WGST host Kim Peterson's afternoon show. "Each day, Kim Peterson unleashes sexually graphic, offensive, double-entendre during a daypart in which children are likely to be in the audience." In fact, the coalition claims that on Wednesday's show (based on postings to a radio-focused online message board), Peterson uttered the "F-word," which the group says aired unedited and without any attempt to use a 7-second delay. The group's David Westbrook says he's in the process of getting a tape of the show sent to the FCC, and cited postings from a radio-focused online message board. Clear Channel/Atlanta execs were unavailable for comment at press time.

3. Clear Channel has opened Pandora's Box
If all of the crass vulgarity and sexually offensive material is removed from their radio chanin's programming, there won'r be anything left.

Their rock and roll stations live on vulgarity, sexual tittalation and crudeness.

They will be hung by their own hypocracy.

5. I think it's a crock
Some people who are tired of the Kimmer's laugh are jerking John Hogan's chain to get him off the air. It's a prank. I bet this is a single guy who posted on Radio-Info.com who doesn't like Kimmer anyhow.

But in other Kimmer news, Kimmer actually said that he thinks this FCC crackdown is the result of liberal's who didn't like their "Rally for America" events last summer. Yeah, Opie & Anthony, Howard Stern, Mel Karmazin and Infinity were all deeply involved in Clear Channel's Rally events, that's why they've all had more FCC hassles. DUH! Kimmer's ability to brown nose George W. Bush's rear even as he craps in his face absolutely stupefies me.
