Why that Chandler win in Ky. is more important than I thought
I just read in a DCCC e-mail that the last time a congressional seat changed parties in a special election was in 1994, when a Repuke won. And we all know what happened in November of that year ...

Sounds like we could have serious momentum on our side!

1. We do have momentum
I just fear that incumbent advantage isn't going to yield many seats even with the tide turning.

2. The e-mail also said we have a shot at winning some other
special elections (such as South Dakota) before November, so we could get the GOP's margin down to single digits.

3. She was also running as being tight with Bush or similar to him.
"Cut from the same cloth" was how she put it. She had to pull that ad when her popularity plummeted. That's very significant.

4. It's pretty clear that the Republicans have failed.
I remember when OxyRush was making comments about the 2002 midterm elections. He was saying, "The American people have given the Republican party a chance to blah, blah, blah..."

He was still pretty burnt about the whole Jim Jeffords thing. Not to mention he was HIGH!!! From this perspective, they've clearly failed.
