1. I'm not sure that folks actually believed Drudge.
But I fear that many folks wanted to use the story to promote their candidates.

Sad.

2. Sure did
and it was a bit shameful... Sleeping with the enemy means you wake up in the morning looking like the enemy!

3. I Agree -- Frankly I Was Shocked
At how much credence was given to a slimeball like Drudge. Frankly even if the story was true it's nobody's business.

5. Do you really think there is any woman who has ever had coffee with any

candidate who is not being pursued by a sea of reporters?

I would caution against the "well, that's that" attitude regarding Kerry or any of them.

It doesn't matter (except to their significant others) whether they had coffee, pie or a torrid affair. What matters is getting the rumors into the tabloids.

How likely is it that the next "in depth up close and personal" interview with a candidate, with or without his wife, will NOT include questions about marital fidelity?

Oh, they will stipulate beforehand, you will say.

Well, think about that for a minute.

Damned if they do and damned if they don't on that one, even if they have even one indiscretion 20 years ago in a snowstorm in Montana.

6. Yes.
And I can't wait until the primaries are over, so we can seperate the DUers from the trolls.

1. If you start a thread in the General Discussion forum, you must present your opinion in a manner that is not inflammatory, which respects differences in opinion, and which is likely to lead to respectful discussion rather than flaming. Some examples of things which should generally be avoided are: unnecessarily hot rhetoric, nicknames for prominent Democrats or their supporters, broad-brush statements about groups of people, single-sentence "drive-by" thread topics, etc.
