No time for affair with Kerry

SHE has the perkiness of a cheerleader and the ambition of a Hollywood starlet, but it's hard to believe Alexandra Polier ever had an affair with US Democratic presidential frontrunner John Kerry.

For one thing, at the time my former journalism school classmate was supposed to be sharing intimate moments with the senator, she was working up to 80 hours a week on student assignments and dating one of our classmates.

If she had time to manage an affair as well, that would have made her one hell of an overachiever.

The former Associated Press reporter, a 27-year-old brunette, made headlines around the world yesterday after the story of an alleged affair appeared on the website of conservative Matt Drudge.

In the Columbia Journalism School yearbook published in May 2002, Alex Polier was voted one of the graduates "most likely to be sent an anthrax letter" in their reporting career - although it's unclear if this should be interpreted as malice or flattery

I hope it's true, but at the same time I have a few reservations. Unfortunately, for a short time I believed that Monica Lewinsky might have been nothing more than a deranged stalker. There were some pretty convincing arguments made for that case.

Once Clinton spoke, I didn't believe him for a second. If Kerry has any reason to be worried, he sure is hiding it well.

3. I really want this to be put to rest...

I want her to speak on the issue and be done with it. She has supposedly already done a TV interview so I hope in the next few days it will all be over. I should mention that there was an earlier post that mentioned Kerry's daughter Alexandra, and her likeness to the intern is nothing short of remarkable. I also hope that once this affair is disproven that Kerry will make the right decision to start legal proceeding against drudge. Enough of this friggin kid glove treatment of these right-wing f**king idiots! If nothing else send him to financial ruin as he fights the case.
