On CNN's Lou Dobbs show tonight, Carlos Watson was spinning one rightwing talking point after another.

"George Bush is likeable" and "trustworthy."
"The Democrats must not attack Bush's character or that will backfire."
"Al Gore brought up Willie Horton against Michael Dukakis during the 1988 Primaries" (that is a lie)

I actually believed it until I did some checking a few months ago. It is amazing how many lies about Al Gore live on in the public's mind

I complained, but so far no response or retraction.

Bush's trustworthiness is tanking like the rest of his numbers. As Josh Marshall says, that's supposed to be Bush's strong point (it never was Clinton's, for instance), so when that drops, he's in deep shit.

BTW, who is Carlos Williams? Never heard of him.
