Just got a call from a Chicago Tribune reporter.
He came across my awol bush* broadside that I've been putting out to websites, blogs, TV networks, newspapers, and writers, anywhere the subject has come up.

Had a nice chat. He's digging for info on bush*s missing years. Looks like we're getting some traction.

17. I just saw some guy on
MSNBC and he claims to have seen GW* in AL doing his duty just like everyone else. Then, thank God, they had on obvious expert retired Col. Allard on to interpret above findings for the viewers. He said that there is are always gaps in records, but if someone says that they saw him doing his duty that that is as good as gold. Whew! Nothing to see here, move along folks......

Yeah, right.... Hey you all, you all remember me paying my taxes last year right? I know there is no record of it, but you *wink* remember me dropping off the envelope, right? I'm glad that is settled. Thank God we have experts to interpret ideas for us.

P.S. That Allard has crazy eyes

2. Good for you!
I certainly hope so, because the way the mainstream media whores are painting it, they're trying to put Shrub in the best light possible. Our local papers in Cleveland and USA Today even have pictures of him in his "figher pilot" (which is what they called him) uniform next to a plane when they run articles on it, I mean how sickeningly obvious can you get?

11. EXACTLY!
I've been pointing that out to everyone I possibly can, especially those who insist on his "honorable service" and who then bring Clinton into it, which REALLY REALLY REALLY frosts my cookies, this has NOTHING to do with Clinton.

5. CNN a few mins. ago had an exolanation about it from Gen. Shepherd
the hawk who was an anylist for them during the war...He said something or other about it not being unusual for someone not to have taken the physical and a bunch of garbage....I didn't catch it all, except that according to him it was a simple explanation...If it's so simple and straightforward, why didn't Bush himself give this explanation long before now?.....It smells to high heaven....

19. OK.
From the horse's mouth:
If I remember correctly, my Air National Guard paychecks came from the U.S. Treasury Department. We were paid quarterly. On the first month of a new quarter, we were paid for the previous quarter.

The Guard doesn't pay you if you aren't there to answer "present".
It should be a simple matter to see how much income Bush received from the Department of Treasury each year of his Guard obligation from his income tax records:
Total annual income from Air national Guard (Treasury), divided by daily pay rate for a 1st Lt. on flying status (base pay + flight pay), equals number of days served.
May have to be adjusted for time spent on non-flying status (which should NOT have happened, see 2 below).

You can do the math on how much he SHOULD have received, had he been present each time he should have been.
12 monthly drill week-ends a year
(1 day's pay for each 4 hour period) = 48 days pay
12 REQUIRED Flying Training Periods
(FTPs) per quarter X 4 quarters = 48 days pay
2 weeks Annual Summer Encampment = 14 days pay
110 days pay annually

Anything less for the six year obligation following completion of pilot training indicates no-show.

Three more points:

1. It's highly unusual that Bush was mustered out as a 1st Lt. If you kept
your nose relatively clean, you made 1st Lt. 3 years after your commission
as a 2nd Lt. Two years later, you made Captain. As long as you just put
your time in, it was automatic. That he didn't make Captain prior to his
discharge is very telling. Reason: He wasn't there long enough, not enough time-in-grade.

2.a. Failure to pass your annual flight physical is one thing.
Failure to show up for it is another thing entirely. It results in automatic grounding
and is a violation of Air Force and ANG regs. Refusal is subject to disciplinary action, including court martial.
2.b. ONLY a certified Air Force Flight Surgeon may administer a pilot's flight
physical. Not your "personal physician back in Houston", and not even the Mayo Clinic.
Not anybody who isn't a certified flight surgeon. They were available in Birmingham, Huntsville, Montgomery, Selma, and Mobile.

3. An Honorable Discharge is NOT "evidence" that he served his time. This
is just the butt-covering "talking point" used by him and his supporters.
It IS evidence that his commanding officers violated ANG rules and
regulations. It's called "covering one's derriere". Had they NOT given him
an honorable discharge it would have called attention to the fact that they
gave him a pass on his absences and pointed up a serious, punishable
dereliction of duty on their part.

NOW...you may think I've got some kind of burr under my saddle about
this AWOL thing. You'd be right.

18. "I ain't got no buddy." Odd
The reporter's name is Dave Jackson. Sounded like a nice guy. I gave him a couple of names of guys I served with. One guy, who was my seniority, eventually became Wing Commander and a 2-star general.

I told him that most of the guys I served with are pretty conservative and probably wouldn't talk to him, but it's worth a shot.

It came up in conversation that the only "buddy" who's come forward to vouch for him is Campenni. He was on c-span this a.m. and I damn near broke a finger trying to get in. No such luck. He's outed himself as a right-wing-nut by a letter he wrote to his local paper (Herndon Observer-google it).

About Mr. Campenni, here's the lead paragraph from a letter to the editor he recently wrote:
While our wonderful freedoms, won and protected by the military that liberals (a.k.a. Democrats) like your respondent Tom Hutchins (The Observer May 9) abhor, allow him to spew his hate-filled opinions against George Bush, they do not allow him to deceive your readers with a blatant misstatement of the facts (a.k.a. lies).
William Campenni

I told Dave it strikes me as odd that bush*s squadron mates haven't rallied round. If my service were in question there are half a dozen guys I could call and they'd vouch for me. Even the former general. They might not share my politics (most don't), but they'd stand up for me.

Where are bush*s buddies?

today. It went on and on about name after name of people in every imaginable department...personnel, maintenance, etc. Everyone said "don't remember him at all." Yet the article said they all said they supported the President. Odd.

calling out over the coax waves for somebody, anybody to pleasepleaseplease call in and say they were with Shrub in Alabama.

I got no prob with that, so long as the buddy can PROVE with paperwork that he himself was actually there, at which point I'd like to see that same paperwork for aWol.

32. Trof!
Maybe the reporter would be interested in the story about the scrubbing of Bush's Texas Drivers License?

This is surely a trail to follow, and something the national media hasn't picked up yet.

Originally reported in onlinejournal.com, followed later in Jeannette Walls gossip column for MSNBC.

Now why would George Dubya require a Texas driver's license with an entirely new number? It was obtained on March 31, 1995, as was his wife's Laura Welch Bush's. His wife and daughters didn't need new numbers, nor did his famous parents - former president and first lady, George H. and Barbara Pierce Bush - who all would seem to be at as much risk security-wise. And by the way, doesn't Texas require renewal of a driver's license every four years on one's birthday? Did George Dubya have something in his past to hide to cause him to purge the old record and number? This seems especially confusing since his birthday is July 6, 1946, but he obtained his new number on March 31, 1995 as a renewal.

Due to this little anomaly, we thought perhaps we should check to see if this was a common practice for former governors of Texas, but no, they were not listed among the first four numbers previous to Dubya's. Now, in all fairness to Dubya we must ask why he would get a new number and not just assume it was to hide something in his past life. And why would he be given the nine-digit DL number 000000005? His wife's DL number is 005295107.

33. also the James Bath lead.
James Bath (close W pal) was also suspended from flying at the same time. Bath, of course, is the friend with ties to the bin Laden family.

Bath's Texas driving record was changed at the same time as Dubya's.
