Anyone watching Hannity and colmes tonight: open season on Kerry
Hannity and John Kasich going after Kerry for flip-flopping on Iraq (voting for the resolution/voting against the 87 billion), flip-flopping on the death penalty for terrorists (showed tape from '96). colms and Bob Beckel on the defense.

Did they just ramp up the attack tonight on Kerry? Is he open game on National Security since General Clark is gone now? Do we get to watch these attacks for the next EIGHT MONTHS?

Lord help us all.

2. Not my first choice certainly

First time I have watched it in months.

However, their show is one of the highest rated pol talk shows if I am not mistaken. So this is what lots of voters do watch.

They also brought up the Jane Fonda pic, and Hannity saying wrong for Kerry to associate with someone who gave aid and comfort to our enemies.

This is going to be one hell of a campaign. Clark why did you pull out?

4. Don't overreact. This is nothing.
Especially compared to the ammo that Kerry and his team have on BushInc.

From BCCI to IranContra to 9-11 and Iraq. They have PLENTY.

3. I dont
because I never watch Fox - its so slanted whats the point? If you think H&C are ramping up the attacks - wait until the Bush team starts spending its money to attack him.

7. H&dC have been on Kerry's case
since last week sometimes. Hanity's favorite line--"Kerry Scares Me". They have his entire reocrd in the Senate and are going over it with a fine tooth comb. It is important that we watch these programs or at least some of us. Know your enemy. They have the largest audience in TV and have Democratic as well as Republican and
Independents. Material that goes 36 hours unrefuted is accepted by the public as true. These guys knkow this--this is why they are going full throttle. I hate to sound mean but Colmes is not the best defender of the left.

This why he has the job????

8. The thing that worries me is
Edited on Wed Feb-11-04 09:45 PM by Jim4Wes
the weak on National Security thing. I think that could easily sink us. They are listing every Defense budget item he ever voted against. This is going to continue 3 nights a week for a long time. Eventually people start believing the spin, and there is enough substance there to continue these attacks.

And I also agree that someone on our side has to try and keep them honest.

9. Actually it proves how smart and prescient Kerry was at the time.

He wanted LESS money spent on top heavy military projects with high rates of failure.

He also wanted LESS money spent on spy hardware and MORE spent on on-the-ground human intelligence, which is EXACTLY what was needed to prevent 9-11.

10. Nothing but a propagandist whore
The thing about fascists is they will do anyting to further the cause of their superiors and their government, even if it doesn't help them directly, just because they get off on being right.
