We are NOT traitors, un-American, or less patriotic than Republicans
I am sick and tired of being called a traitor for becoming a Democrat. I think what the Republicans are doing is sickening.

A man who serves honorably in Vietnam, was disturbed by what he saw, and then protested what he saw does not make him un-American. In my mind, it makes him more patriotic for having the courage to speak out.

Questioning whether someone served in the National Guard or not does not equate to questioning those who fulfill their obligations in the National Guard. We're not questioning the Guard, we're questiuoning an individual. And for the love of all that is holy, if any Freeper lurkers are out there...BILL CLINTON IS NOT RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. He can't. It's in the Constitution that you so love to shred and then wrap yourselves in. Drop any and all references to him, because no one cares what he did or did not do. Focus on who is running.

Questioning the Iraq policy is your RIGHT as an American. Max Cleland did, and he was eviscerated by Republicans as unpatriotic. Never mind his body was eviscerated by the Viet Cong in Vietnam; I guess that doesn't matter when you're a Republican.

Civil protest is our right as an American. Unless you go to Drake University in Iowa, where the Patriot Act can be loosed on you if you dare question authority.

This country is so Orwellian, it's eerie. It would be funny if so much wasn't at stake.

1. I never took politics seriously.
I always wondered how it could affect my life.I will never turn my back on politics again. I can see with the misguided bush* neo-con policys how deadly it can become, with the loss of 530 Americans who had no choice in their sacrifice.bush* likes to say crudely. We appreciate your scrifice.

2. I think for many Republicans & Conservatives
...If they allow themselves to see the truth about Bushco, they will have the basis for their world and reality destroyed.

So they just put their heads up-their-assess and deny that they have been played as fools and tools.

5. Certainly anyone's patriotism is suspect, IMHO, who fails to protect,
defend, and preserve the Constitution of the United States, who would needlessly and unconstitutionally abridge freedom and liberty, freedom of speech and assembly, the right to life, liberty and happiness, the right to dissent, those who question the patriotism of those who speak out. Sadly the list is long and includes all too many Democrats in Congress.

4. My stepson going to Iraq is a Democrat
Let someone tell them and the guys in his unit (who hate Bush) are unpatriotic or traitors as they face Baghdad, and Ill bet they would have something to say about what patriotic means
Ya know, people who yell patriotism and wrap themselves up in the flag MINUS the Constitution and the Bill of Rights arent patriots..they are whats called NATIONALISTS. and they are traitors, imo, to the Constitution and the Bill of Rights if they back the bUsh regime.

7. In my mind you either support America or you support the Cabal
The Cabal that has lied at every opportunity, used those lies to invade other countries and kill many many people. Revealed Secrets of our country for political purpose, Wasted tax payer monies on campaigning and paying off campaign contributers like letting them ride in and operate a nuclear submarine which resulted in more killings. Looting the American Treasury for political gain. Tried to bring about a coup on a Democratically elected President of a foreign country. Brought Fascism into vogue. If you support this Cabal of Thugs you cannot by definition support America.
