Wow! CBS News does Soldier Suicides story.... (real news)
:wow:

Rather did an extended segment on military suicide, including an interview with a mother and other experts.

they admit to 22 suicides but this could really be more than 30 and only includes Iraq servicement (hinting that the Afghani conflict has numbers we don't know about yet)

and this shocker: 600+ soldiers have been evacuated from Iraq for psychiatric reasons.

friends, there IS real news being reported but NOT on cable. network evening news will almost always give you reasons to hope that journalism is not completely dead. listening to cable, will.

this was only one story in a broadcast that was soundly anti-Bush from many angles (WMD, 9/11, economy, economy economy)

3. don't toss the baby with the bathwater, CBS *News*
IS separate from the Viacom boardroom (for now)

CBS News did not censor the ad.

if NBC had censored it, CBS NEWS probably would have reported on it AND run the ad.... in the story.

5. Start writing letters!
I'm guessing CBS is gonna take heat for airing this, so they also need some appreciation.

Yes, I agree it's sad we have to commend them for doing their job, but that's the State of our Union.

Thanks for the heads up on this story..... gave me time to tune in and see it.

assinine decision on Move-on ad, and then CBS News goes anti-Bush. Do you think that they finally realize that half of America is sick of them? Or is it just that Dan Rather is the only anchor who really is worried?

8. Those numbers don't include the suicides of those that have come home.
The ones that take themselves out after arriving home. WTF is going on over there?
