O'Reilly owes America an apology--and you can help!

O'Reillly on Good Morning America, in March 2003:

"And I said on my program, if -- if -- the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it's clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again."

And on April 22, on his Fox News program, he spake thus:

"If weapons of mass destruction aren't found,... I will have to apologize because I bought into it... All right, a month from today, we'll do this story again."

But for some reason—an honest oversight, surely; a simple lapse of memory—he forgot to follow up a month later. And apparently it has slipped his mind ever since.

But now there's a way to help jog his memory. Get involved, folks--it would reflect poorly on the punditocracy as a whole if this lacuna were to go unrectified, and we can't have that! So help him out--sign the petition here.

what a weasel fuckwit he is; a lady was bringing up good points concerning his ridiculous ravings and he cut off her mike because "my staff voted to cut her off". What a cowardly piece of shit he is. I could care less about O'Reilly, I don't get Faux News here at the house, but even when I see his mug on tv at work I always make sure to turn the channel. It's not worth the rise in blood pressure. Should he actually do what he said he would do, and make this public apology (which I bleieve he will not and will in fact slime his way out somehow) I will watch that show.
