I refuse to tolerate "Tax and Spend Liberal"
I have become like a pit bull on this topic,
and I attack every conservative stupid enough to use the phrase...

There is a Republican President,
a Republican Congress,

and spending is UP, not just spending, the "WASTEFUL" spending is up.

Every Conservative who utters that phrase about our batch of candidates gets an earful from me.

1. Red Ink Republicans
Every candidate needs to add the slogan. It should be in all talking points, the beauty of it is is is true both in the short term and over time. It is true on the state and federal level.

SCREAM IT!

2. That's not gonna stick this time around
Clinton shrunk the size of the federal government, balanced the budget and created a surplus.

Bush has increased spending enormously and turned a record surplus into a record deficit.

If they try that old trick it will backfire on them in a big way.

4. PBS recently looked at the numbers
and were surprised to find out that the stock market has consistently done better under a democratic president than a republican president. Thats one fact that needs to get out there big time.

8. Neither party is exactly a model fiscal restraint
And while Clinton did balanace the budget, it was mainly a fluke of the stock market bubble.

Having said that, the Republicans have blown it big time and need to look at themselves first, before pointing the tax and spend finger at us again.

10. Bullshit. It was no fluke.
Reagan's tax cuts and increase in military spending caused the problem. Bush I's tax increase in 1991 and Clinton's in 1993 cured it. And to the consternation of Republicans, despite those two tax increases in the early 90's, economic growth was the best in history AFTER those increases. It's amazing what you can do when the govt balances it's books.
