When is bush* going to do something, catch someone to divert
attention away from the no WMD's scandal? Oh wait the news media have stopped talking about it haven't they? David Kay has sufficiently silenced the critics and he and his trusty pooch Deception walk into the sunset, the glow of America's praise setting his and Deceptions face aglow basking in the warmth of admiration and satisfaction and wonderment at how easily the critics were silenced. Kay walked into the sunset glancing down at his pooch,
"Deception, quit licking your marbles, we're on national tv in a moment."
"Woof!"

1. Haven't you been watching the news today?
It's Kobe and Michael day again all of a sudden. I guess they figured just one wouldn't do anymore, so they teamed 'em up. And don't forget about Martha, although I think the Martha thing will seriously backfire on them when she gets aquitted by the jury which is probably rolling their eyes at the prosecution at this very moment.

he says in every speech. I've heard it said you have to tell someone something 9 times for them to believe it. Damn I hope Americans aren't this gullible!

4. Football-type pool?

I don't know how to do those football deals. Or maybe something like the bet on weight/time/date of new baby, celebrity death pool..
but howza bout something like that ?

I was thinking we could bet on election-year diversionary hijinks
such as
catching obl
another mihop
assassinations
candidate scandal

etc etc

date, place, time accuracy increases score. The more sick andcynical, the higher your score.

Winner would be all of humanity if none of our predictions come true.

3. didn't you hear
they're mobilizing for afghanistan again and are "confident" that bin laden will be caught before year's end. I suspect they know where he his and will pull that rabbit out of the hat when the ratings get too low. Doesn't pay to capture him too fast because then the excuse for all the big brother stuff is minimized.
When ratings get low, change the subject. No bin laden, WMDs are the problem lets get saddam. Iraq gets bad, ratings go down, saddam pops up. Iraq still bad, saddam not to blame, but we did it for WMDs. No WMD's, lets go back and get bin laden.... I wonder what hat trick they've planned after that. Oops too late - bright lights, foxes get caught and evicted. Yes, the chickens are certainly coming home to roost.
