8. I can't stand that guy F. Gaffney
Repukes are all alike....you put the facts right in front of them and they will argue the opposite every single time. No wonder this country is in the sad shape it's in with those brownshirts running it.

18. or like Whitman on
The Daily Show last night. When she defended squatter's envionmental record, the audience booed her...so much so Jon calmed them down saying, "You're in my living room, B nice". She actually started spinning 'clear skies' and how it would reverse pollution - un-f***ing-believable!

19. I have noticed that too, Ter
I wish Joe would ask them why they feel the need to add a Bush whore to interrupt everything Joe says.

Where is the apology to Scott Ritter? He was right and everyone including David KAy slammed him.

Frank: He wasn't right....Wolf points out that there are no WMDs

Joe: The inspectors had 6 weeks before the war and everyone said that it was enough time, no these guys get all the time they wanted

7. Joe brings up Plame
There was a direct attack on a CIA agent because her husband disagreed with the reports, so saying that there was pressure on the CIA on WMDs is stupid. Theres a grand jury looking at whether people were pressured in that case.

9. Wolf and Gaffney disputed that any pressure was
brought to bear upon the Intelligence community by the White House, and Conason shut them down by raising the Plame story as evidence that, yes, of course there was pressure.

10. Conason best come back was
When repub said Iraq is better off with the removal of Saddam, and Conason said "but are we better off"?

I'm so tired of hearing the argument that Iraq is better with Saddam gone, yes ok, but........ect. I guess this is the only thing repubs can say because every other aspect of this "war" is a complete disgrace.

12. Remember that response when that statement is made.....personally
my goal in life is not to make the Iraqi people better off...I want this country to be better off. Use this Conason remark..they have no response to it!

"Iraq is better off with the removal of Saddam, and Conason said "but are we better off"?

13. Iraq better off with Saddam gone
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 01:08 PM by Bandit
That has yet to be determined. Bush 1 said in 1991 that they didn't want to destabilize Iraq because the Devil they knew was better than an unknown one. They figured ousting Saddam would send Iraq into years of Civil War. I don't believe that would make them better off. If in two years there is a real Democracy there and they are open to the world market for all of their goods then Maybe, but as yet it is an unknown.

16. Which one?
Frank Gaffney was the conservative mouthpiece, but Wolf was doing a pretty good job of mouthing the Bush* line.
