Don Imus has
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 08:45 AM by justsam
Paul Begala on his show this AM and they are really ripping up Bush and his gang.. I have never listened to the Imus program until the past few weeks but he could be the person the get Bush out of the WH.. Imus is on MSNBC every weekday morn from 6-9..
the great thing is that he has about ten million listeners that are mostly working class and they all have at least 2 friends that have lost their jobs or med insurance because of Bush..

2. No thanks...
Imus, besides not being funny, has (up until recently) been a Bush apologist. Maybe he was funnier when he was drinking, but he isn't now...

3. Imus lists whichever way the prevailing wind blows
while the rest of those punks he works with are solid Bush groupies.

4. Yes, indeed, within the past week or two, the I-Man has turned on Bush
He speaks of Bush surrounding himself with horrible people and being sheltered from the public, lying about the WMDs etc....

5. Ten million listeners?
I cannot fathom why even one person would listen to this guy. He's not even entertaining, much less enlightening.

9. I don't like him
but caught him calling the situation in Iraq "Bush's mess" and calling him an "idiot" a few months ago so have tuned in once in a while since then.

15. Don ANUS Is *NOT* a KERRY "Supporter" & Has NO Principled Positions
He is a circus charlatan who very openly spells out his philosophy of broadcasting, which is to say whatever outrageous thing that will stir interest, controvery, ratings---and he still gets less than STERN and LIMBOsevic. KERRY has appeared on his circus countless times, the same way that other members of congress, the media, and authors have (LIEBERMAN is another regular). ANUS has said repeatedly, even while supposedly complaining about Shrub, that he will vote for Shrub again. In 2000 he said that the reason he was voting for Shrub was because Shrub is such a f-up he would provide more material for the show. As for the illegal Irag attack, ANUS said he was for it "because we CAN." Whatever good his charity foundation for kids with cancer might do, he is STILL an obnoxious, racist jerk.

13. He stopped Fineman from spinning about Kerrey's liberalness
Fineman was on and he started to go into how hard it will be for KErrey to do well in the South especially after having TED KENNEDY by his side in NH. Imus (I just started listening a couple of weeks ago) stopped Fineman and asked him how Kerrey's voting matched up with Gore's. Fineman said they were about the same so Imus says "Why don't you put it like that?"

Imus is a little here a little there. Interesting to listen to.

14. Imus is a whore supreme..
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 09:20 AM by SoCalDem
His "time" should be just about UP.. He's a holdover from a time when disc jockey was a cutting edge,controversy-seeking occupation.. The DJs could (and did) say outrageous things, because their audience loved it.. It was speech that was not heard anywhere else.. The powers that be usually "looked the other way" and said .. "Oh well, he's just being obnoxious" and if not too many people called the station and complained, they just dropped it..

Now EVERYONE is cutting edge,in-your-face, and guys like Imus are on the way out..

He's lucky to be where he is.. Most drug addicted alcoholics do not get as many second chances as he has had..

18. I saw it thought Imus still looked
and sounded like a crust old fart. He made a ridiculous statement about the "bump" on Edwards lip and how "distracting" that was for him. What a jerk..

He still whores for Bush.
