America as a One Party State
Edited on Thu Jan-29-04 01:07 AM by dolo amber
Nothing we don't already know really, just very well written. Should be forwarded to anyone you know who you have the slightest hope may have their eyes opened, before it's too late.

"Today's hard right seeks total dominion. It's packing the courts and rigging the rules. The target is not the Democrats but democracy itself. ".....more

3. If Bush is elected this Fall ...
... the Republican Party will cease to exist by 2009.

The American people will be so fed up with conservatism and the Republican Party that they will toss all of them out. Even in a state of martial law, every pressure that can be brought to bear against the GOP will be used.

That single party will then be Democratic.

5. by that logic we should all vote republican
and leave them to the lashback.

Methinks rather that they'll widen their war of "the constitution vs. the people".

Think about it.

First the war started on women, the day bush took office and pulled funding for all family planning worldwide when abortion is mentioned as an option. It disenfranchised and shafted these people, because they have no voting power and nobody cares.

The war then started attacks on foreign residents and arab americans. It criminalized these people, because they have no voting power and nobody cares.

Then they widened the war to drugs users. These people are already criminalized, and now they are supporting terrorism. They have less voting power and nobody cares.

Now the war is on all homosexuals. Soon these people will be criminalized and lose their civil rights. They have less voting power and nobody cares.

Who's next if they're in for 4 more years?

Does this not have a distinct similarlity to the nazi holocaust? The net keeps widening... and all the time, weak, unorganized minorities are what are attacked.

Targets for 4 more years:

Homeless people.
Professional atheletes.
Disabled people.
Outspoken actors/actresses, musicians (artists).
Children.
The elderly.
Non-christian religious groups.
The unemployed.

They are already waging covert war against all of these groups, and with their rising confidence, will take the war in to the open.

If they win in 2004, the only hope will be an armed overthrow of these nazi's, or a total economic collapse, that the bankrupt empire breaks down in to feudal separatism, like Russia did on its collapse... and then the republicans will be like the russian oligarchs, themselves above the law... and poverty will make today's standards of living look amazing.

There will be no nation left by 2009. You're wrong.

7. A one-party nation is never a good idea.
Neither party should have sway in the political system of this country. The range of political choices should be better.

8. my little county in north central texas is a one party deal.
All of the local offices such as district judge, district attorney, sheriff, commissioners court members, constables, etc. will be decided in the republican primary.

Not one democrat even filed for office. All republicans run un-opposed in the fall.

in 1992 all local offices were held by democrats, then republican operatives moved from ohio to my little texas county. Every thing has been downhill since the ann richard's defeat in 1996.

10. The new soviet states of america
The single party state was what the cold war was about, no? I guess we lost. I remember reading decades back this soviet constitution, and thinking how horrible a single party state would be that did not allow dissent.

http://wiretap.area.com/Gopher/Gov/World/ussr77.con

Now, on just reading it, it looks like the rights enshrined in that document were better than those in the american reality.

Its odd that the single party state is a double entendre, as it means to me that unfettered corporatism under the banner of "free trade" is the single party rhetoric of both halfs of the single party. (dem and repuke). Then it also means that the democratic party is nothing but window dressing on a single party state of repukes.

That leads me to ponder the actual differences between the soviet union and the current USA. Rich apparachiks run roughshod over the law and did whatever they wish. If the law is not right for their theft of resources, then they change the law so they can steal. Freinds and slimes of the party get special favours and dacha's near the black sea. The remaining serf population is merely there to fill the factories and grovel under the heel of the priviledged.

That said, the difference is naught. The US is the new USSR, and it is the evil empire, reagan is right. Fringe citizens are attacked and disenfranchised at a scale even worse than under the late USSR. In soviet russia, there were medical services and some socialist neetworks, including womens rights that exceed the standard of the new soviet states of america. (SSA).

We lost the cold war, and now, the iron heel of the oligarchy is coming down to crush the last resistance to achieve the final SUPREME SOviet vision of a perfect Republican america. The workers paradaise is complete. Stalin is dead, long live stalin.
