BBV: is there hope the Voter Confidence Act will pass?
The Voter Confidence Act, HR 2239

I've called Congress multiple times, so have other people on this board, and there are 108 co-sponsors in the House, but 0 co-sponsors in the Senate.

Is there reason to hope Congress will pass HR 2239 in time for the 2004 elections?

1. With the Repigs
in control, I see no hope of getting it passed for 2004. Congressman Ney, who was the force behind HAVA, is the chairman of the committee with control over HR 2239. He is in favor of NO paper ballots, of course.
One of his constituents here in Ohio, wrote to him about the Holt bill and he wrote back saying that he would certainly take it into consideration if it ever came to the floor for a vote. What he failed to mention was he was the one keeping it in committee. Don't ya just love politicians who assume we are stupid ?

:argh:
