UPDATE: On the 3 soldiers dead south of Baghdad
They were from this post (the one I live on)

It was not my husband's convoy to Baghdad. It was an engineer group's convoy.

I don't have the comfort of feeling relieved because somewhere tonight a family is shattered by their loss...

Each day brings death to both Iraqi and American alike...each day brings horror and tragedy to their families. I often wonder if I had supported this invasion would I feel the deaths less..

.....if I were like those who supported Bush and his madness....to be so blind,so comfortbly snug, wrapped in one's own self-satisfied black and white world.. what is it like to not feel the agony brought daily to so many?

Thank you, everyone, for your words of comfort over the last couple of hours. It did help my wait.

8. I missed your earlier post, too, Solly. I am glad your man's okay.
But I'm also aching for the families who lost theirs.

Please God, let us vote our way OUT OF THIS MESS IN NOVEMBER!! PLEASE!!!

Dear Solly, don't know you but I feel as though we are sisters anyway. My prayers are with you and your husband. I hope you are back in each other's arms soon, where you both belong. I hope for the same for everyone else whose beloveds are separated from them by the First Chickenhawk.

Whenever it is that bush's karma comes back on him, I'm around to watch. Like maybe this November. He's caused WAY, WAY, WAY beyond his share of misery, worldwide.

5. I wish
I had the power to comfort you and the many other people who are having to pay the price so those fools in washington can play soldier.

May your loved one return safely

7. I join with the rest
I'm glad it's not your husband, but I grieve for the families that lost a son/brother/father/friend. It's time to stop the madness, bring the troops home. My heart is with you.
