Bill O'Reilly: "I Believe David Kay"
"...and it should end all of this "lie" nonsense."

"Americans will forgive mistakes made in good faith."

"Fair minded Americans will decide if President Bush did the right thing in Iraq."

4. Those who support Bush* will forgive his mistakes although
it involved over thousands of our soldiers either dying or wounded. But those same Bush* supporters will not ever forgive Clinton for lying about a fucking blowjob even though it didn't involve killing not one person. Go figure.

Kiss my (_|_), O'Reilly!

7. THE NO SPIN...SPIN
We all knew he lacked the intestinal fortitude to admit he was wrong. I`m surprised it took this long to find a suitable spin.

8. O'Reilly mentioned ricin to make people think it was Saddam who
O'Reilly mentioned ricin to make people think it was Saddam who had ricin, when it was actually Al Quaeda in a northern part of Iraq outside Saddam's control.

12. not Al Qaeda in northern Iraq
The fundamentalists in the north, which you correctly say was not under Saddam's control were not part of al Qaeda. They were members of another exremist group called Ansar al-Islam. The US went into their terroritory immediately and killed as many as they could find.

Ironically, Saddam was able to keep Al Qaeda extremists out of Iraq for all the years he was in power. But, of course, now they're coming in to fight the invaders. A bad dream....all of this.

9. O'Reilly over and over: Stuart Smalley,Stuart Smalley
O'Reilly has got to be one of the most insecure people in broadcasting. He's the king of "I get the last word" no matter what. He claims to let a guest have the last word and then keeps tearing them down after their gone,or a commercial break.

Did the same thing over and over on his radio show, the guy is really a wussy. Talking about how he "scolded" some caller from Denver, keeps mentioning Martin Sheen over and over and then Stuart Smalley. Guess his handlers told him to quit using Al Franken's name, its causing more and more people to go buy Frankens book.

10. I've got to see this...
If he said this, even if it contains some spin, I will have to give him some credit for it.

Not for defending Bush, but for at least giving David Kay the credibility he deserves and not slamming him.

I know it's not much of a standard, but at least it shows some internal struggle perhaps against inability? or disabilities, to say the truth.

Thanks.

13. Whooops!
"Mistakes". I still don't recall Bush or ANY of those guys fessing up to any mistakes. If they came out and said they screwed up, at least I wouldn't think they were flat out EVIL.

19. Headline here: O'Reilly now admits Iraq was "MISTAKE"
Edited on Mon Jan-26-04 10:58 PM by DrBB
in't no other way around it. These two statements contain a stark contradiction:

"Americans will forgive mistakes made in good faith."

"Fair minded Americans will decide if President Bush did the right thing in Iraq."

I mean, it IS obvious, isn't it? Even to a psychopath of O'Reilly's caliber? Do we need to spell it out?

If it was a 'MISTAKE," see, Bill old tool, old pal, old catspaw, then "fair minded Americans" can hardly conclude "Bush did the right thing." Can they? I just don't see the hole in the logic here.

I know logic is something only liberuls care about 'n' stuff. But at some point even Rove probably isn't too keen on having the Shrimp's "defenders" going around saying "Mistake!" "Mistake!" "Mistake!" in connection with anything so bloody and expensive as the Iraq boondoggle. Kinda doesn't really put it in the proper electoral light, you know?
