There have been some discussions lately by leftist pukes who supported a psychopath but apparently loathe a decent man. The discussion have been about an "AWOL" issue. I thought it is about time that I clarify the AWOL issue. Actually, it is a series of AWOL issues. When a Bush hater wants to discuss it, you may choose any of the following to help englighten him: 1. Bill Clinton's father, whomever that may have been in the back seat of the that '43 Ford with his bar-hopping mom, died before he was born. He was raised by a stepfather who...

How to Answer the AWOL Accusation

I keep reading/hearing about Bush's year of being AWOL from the Air National Guard. I can't find anything on the net that disputes this accusation. Is there anything out there?

AWOL in the big government fight?

So much for that myth--the cynical distortion that has become conventional wisdom in many circles. During the presidential campaign of 2000, it started going around that Texas Gov. George W. Bush, then the leading Republican candidate, had significant gaps in his military record. Specifically, that Bush failed to report for duty for an entire year toward the end of his hitch with the Texas Air National Guard. The short version: In May 1968 the silver-spoon son of a U.S. congressman jumped to the top of a long waiting list despite mediocre scores on his pilot-aptitude

DFU COMMENTARY ON THE AWOL ISSUE

There have been some discussions lately by leftist pukes who supported a psychopath but apparently loathe a decent man. The discussion have been about an "AWOL" issue. I thought it is about time that I clarify the AWOL issue.

Actually, it is a series of AWOL issues. When a Bush hater wants to discuss it, you may choose any of the following to help englighten him:

1. Bill Clinton's father, whomever that may have been in the back seat of the that '43 Ford with his bar-hopping mom, died before he was born. He was raised by a stepfather who apparently abused the mom and kids. In fact, a weapon was actually discharged in the home during an argument. His stepfather was no role model, and his mom taught him to lie. So it was during his childhood that Bill's conscience went AWOL.

2. As a young man, Bill was supposed to report to the induction center because, although he has lied about it, he really did receive a draft notice. He got help from RAT insiders who intervened on his behalf, and he was AWOL when called up to report for his physical. Actually, he really had nothing to fear. Lacking both gonads and a spine, he certainly would have been classified 4F.

3. Bill was supposed to report for duty at the U of Arkansas and join the ROTC when he came back from England. At least that is what he promised an honorable man and hero, Col. Eugene Holmes who was a survivor of Bataan. Bill, of course, was AWOL when he was to report for the ROTC. He thought it was really funny that he lied to Col. Holmes. He played a trick on him and finally admitted that he really loathed the military. When the draft lottery came through, Bill received a number high enough that he was never in jeopardy of being drafted. So, he submitted himself to the draft. Pretty clever, huh?

4. When Bill's class in Oxford was graduating, he was AWOL. That was not his choice, of course. He had been kicked out of the university and the country for raping Eileen Wellstone whom he had met at a pub. It would have been devastating publicity for a Rhodes Scholar to be charged with rape, so he was simply quietly removed from the country.

5. When it was time to provide armored support in Mogadishu, Bill was AWOL. We know the result. 19 Rangers dead; 76 wounded. Some of the wounded refused to have their picture taken with him at Walter Reed Hospital, not wanting to bring disgrace on their uniform.

6. When it was time to respond to the first attack on the World Trade Center, Bill was AWOL. Islamist terror was of no interest to him.

7. When it was time to respond to the bombings of our foreign embassies, Bill was AWOL. What was he supposed to do about it, be a commander in chief or something?

8. When it came time to respond to the bombing of the USS COLE, Bill was AWOL. Their lives meant little to him. After all, they were the people he told Col. Holmes that he loathed. He proved it for 8 years.

9. When it was time to be discussing Mideast peace in the Rose Garden with foreign leaders, Bill was temporarily AWOL. He was busy playing with an intern, cigar, and a sink.

10. When he was supposed to be upholding his oath and providing for the defense of this nation, for eight years he was AWOL. Islamist terrorists were allowed to raise money, gather weapons, and plan without fear.

So, RAT b*stards, if you want to talk about AWOL, bring it on.

2. Oh, that's funny.
So they can only talk about Bill, on account of not being able to say one good thing about Bush.

They can't refute it. And Bill ain't running.

Tee hee. Let's bring it on. Daily. Constantly. Just for fun.

3. Lets take a look at the evidence...
1) Circumvents the question altogether (ie. doesn't even mention Bush's record)

2)Obsessive about Clinton

3)Defends Bush's record with attacks on Democrats

4)Attacks are ill-formed, illogical, and childish...

Yep.. it's a freeper.

4. The rebuttal is "Clinton sucks"? Oookay.
While we're on the subject- I'd love to know how Bush loyalists reconcile the fact that Bush's AWOL status has been AWOL from the "liberal media".

9. O'reilly mantra
Isn't it their man O'Reilly who tells people not to defend their bad behavior by saying someone else is screwing up just the same?

5. Hmm they have not factual rebuttal so they need to keep
hitting us over the head with something unrelated....Yea that makes sense.

If I didn't know these pathetic fools were serious I would have assumed it was some sort of comedy routine.

I'm thinking AWOL could take a dump in their mouths (which in essence he is) and they would swallow it down and say yum yum...you sure make tasty poop president Bush!

6. What, no supporting evidence?
You know that when evidence exists to support a Freeper's positions, he floods you with quotations, citations, URLs, names, dates, and document references. The only thing they have on Clinton is the word of Gene Holmes, whose indictment of Clinton was pressed out of him by "B-1" Bob Dornan (and Bob bragged about it on his web page). Of secondary interest, Holmes had been suffering from ill health for several years and was in the early stages of dementia when Bob stopped by. Of course, Col. Holmes now refuses to make any statement at all. Once burned, twice shy.

The entire rest of it is either refutable or is invented. Bill Clinton may not be Jesus Christ Jr., but if you're going to knock somebody, you should try to get your story straight, not from demented psychos -- or even from badgering ailing old soldiers like Col. Holmes.

7. Hey that's the famous Clinton compulsive-obsessive Doug
Edited on Sat Jan-24-04 04:09 AM by Old and In the Way
From Upland. I forget why, but I remember seeing a post of his on FR, I think some bizarre lyrics for a song or something inane about his favorite President- Bill Clinton.

Anyway, thanks for enlightening us Doug.

With evidentiary support like this, I'm convinced. Best be careful Douggie, Chickenhawks feast on pigeon.

8. Who is.................
this decent man they keep referring to that we all loathe? If they're referring to Bush, then they have SERIOUS psychological problems probably stemming from the best part of them running down the crack of their Mother's asses.
These people really do live in an alternate reality, don't they?
There's some serious delusion among these folks.

10. Why is it the freepers blame Bill Clinton
for all of civilization's problems? Let's see what else is Clinton's fault: Watergate, Iran-Contra, chimpy losing the popular vote in 2000, anything to do with Vietnam, Pearl Harbor, the Titanic, the Alamo. That's it...the Alamo! If Clinton's penis wasn't involved we would've won at the Alamo!!! *sarcasm*

11. Oh they do that on every thing.
They never face the problem but use something else to get off the subject. The latest one is the money being spend. They start off talking about all the money going out and end up with gun control or saying the Dem are doing it when they know they control it all down their.Another one a few uses over and over is spelling. Now you can bet it will be the marriage act thing. I think(?????) that is a veiled subject that may be racist, after hearing Ed something on RNC on c-span. I am sure I have heard the same speeches done on other social subject with that party. That guy is pretty bad over on FR and it also sounds like the things put out on McCain that Bush let them do. Win at any cost and it is a battle hard to beat as people want a reason to vote for Bush. The Right wing does not want to face the fact that Bush is bankrupting this country for years and he left Texas in the same fix. So lets worry about same sex living together.

13. Being a car guy I know for sure
that there is no such and animal as a '43 Ford. Ford, like all automobile manufacturers, stopped civilian car manufacturing in early '42, and did not resume until '46. Freeper wisdom?

14. So
Couldn't someone point out to this poor creature that Bill Clinton has zilch to do with Bush's military record and gently guide him to some sort of counseling?

There is something seriously wrong with a person who is too blind to see that world doesn't revolve around one former president. Terribly sad, very creepy.

What about all this other AWOL stuff? Does he think Bush was right there alert and on the job after the planes struck the towers? Doesn't he realize Bush just sat around reading a goat story, then flew around, lying about being pursued by terrorists? Wasn't he AWOL at 505 funerals? And Bush was accused of rape too.

But none of these things matter, because the discussion was about Bush's military career.
