O'Reilly: Most of America Hates Michael Moore
Alright, just saw on the O'Really Factor where Bill O'Reilly said that "Most Americans don't like Michael Moore". Really, is that why Roger & Me and Bowling for Columbine are the two most successful documentaries of all time. Is that why wherever he goes to speak the venues sell out months in advance. Is that why his book is #1 on the New York Times bestsellers list. I personally think O'Reilly is jealous of Michael Moore's(and Al Franken's) success. I know we already have a O'Reilly/Moore thread going, but I felt this one was worth posting since I'm sure alot of people heard only the talking points of O'Reilly 2nite before turning off the tv.

peace

1. In reality, most of America hates "O'Really"
but are either too fearful or too lazy to make it known.

Those who like O'Reilly are ideologues and bigots who turn to Faux to have their sociopathologies legitimized.

6. Most people probably don't know who Oreally is either,
These people only put a thorn in the side of the small number of people who vividly pay attention to politics in this country.

12. It's a good thing Bill O'Reilly is not Running for President
He would have to insult himself non stop as having no class or values for telling people most americans hate someone. I am SURE Hannity and Hume would chime right in and call him EVIL! NOT!

These guys are Bastards! I am telling you I am sick to hell of this crap!

4. What a laughable fat head.
It is a sign of something that his screed isn't on comedy central instead of Faux news. Thank goodness he got the job there at Faux though, otherwise he would have to fall back on biting the head off small animals in the sideshow again.

5. O'Reilly is mentally ill
it is obvious to anyone who listens to him for over ten minutes. He has delusions of granduer and possibly a persecution/paranoia complex as well, I think. In O'Reilly's world, no one likes Moore or Franken, and only conservative books are best sellers. Of course, this world has no connection with reality. Sad thing is that so many who listen to him are as ill as he is....

8. Damnit
Most of the sanitariums in the State of New Jersey have been shut down. So O'Reilly is more likely to spread his bullshit to a tv near you.

9. Moore passed the Oprah test
He was on her show last year or whatever, and his book shot up to number one AGAIN. Oprah has a more mainstream audience than O'Really.

31. Good point!
Oprah has vastly more effect on what people think and do.

O'Reilly and his fellow talking heads on all sides wish they had her ratings and influence.

And talent and decency.

And money.

11. O`Reilly is a turd polisher. Bu$h is the turd. Moore and Franken tell
truths about the turd O`Reilly is polishing. They have to be attacked for lack of credibility or whatever. So the turd shines enough to blind people. At least some of the ones that can stomach to watch Faux News channel.

21. ok...
Michael Moore's 1989 landmark film, Roger and Me, is the most successful documentary released in US cinema.

http://www.allianceatlantis.com/corporate/press_media/2002/AAC02_54.html

This film, financed partly by Michael Moore's mortgaging of his home and partly by bingo fundraisers, was meant to be a personal statement over his anger not just at GM, but also the economic policies and social attitudes of the United States government which allows a corporation to remove the largest source of a town's income from that town. The film proved to be the most successful documentary in American history in its theatrical run and enjoyed wide critical acclaim. In response, General Motors threatened to pull advertising on any TV show which interviewed Michael Moore.

http://www.nationmaster.com/encyclopedia/Roger-and-Me

Box office for "Bowling for Columbine," already the longest-running commercial movie in current release and the highest-grossing documentary in history, was up by more than 100 percent on the Monday after Oscar night. His book "Stupid White Men," already the largest nonfiction best seller of 2002, is reclaiming the No. 1 slot on the Times best-seller list today.

Dixie Chicks speak the truth, and they are run out of the country on a rail.

"People who love Michael Moore, hate America. That's all you need to know." :D

I recall saying aloud "You're so screwed in November," and switching the channel.

24. Clearly "most americans" is a different group from 'most americans'
Perhaps the difference is in the pronunciation? More newspeak. Fatuous right-wing talking head spouts nonsensical propaganda and tries to distort the english language some more. O'Really?

The effer can't come through with two blockbuster commentaries and get internation honors (including an Academy Award) for one of them. His performance on TV shows he's inept.
