Scott Ritter - whatever happened to molestation allegations
Edited on Thu Jan-22-04 12:25 PM by rmpalmer
I've been meaning to ask this for awhile. What happened with those allegations. Was he framed? Did RW do a smear job?

I kinda lost track of the story and just want to know. Just heard a caller on local Pittsburgh talk radio talking about how pissed he was at Tweety last year when he and Kay ganged up on Ritter over the WMD's story and how Ritter was ultimately proven correct. Caller said molestation charges were trumped up against Ritter. Got me curious what happened on this.

I admire how Ritter stood up to this administrations lies.

He's a national hero as far as I'm concerned.

3. The "timing" of the allegations are suspect also...
Ritter knows this administration are a bunch of liars and he was relating that message to the public right before the invasion.

How to shut up such a damaging critic? The same way you expose CIA agents whose husbands criticize the honesty of the Bushler Administration.

Everything Ritter said pre-war has proven to be correct. Everything.

They lied.

7. He was never accused of "molestation" at all
He was caught in a sting. It was entrapment. A cop on the internet pretending to be a 15 yr old girl. He arranged to meet her and was busted for it. The case was thrown out and the records sealed. There was no molestation. There was no GIRL.

10. The problem is that Ritter really did say completely different things in
1998 and 1999, until he started working with that Iraqi guy. I have read things he has written and seen clips of him from when he had just quit, raging about Clinton not doing enough to force the inspections because there was still weapons in Iraq.
In Endgame, he says many of the weapons were destroyed but it is likely weapons and programs still existed, and more programs would start the minute Saddam got half a chance.
