A tough ethical question.....take the test!
Consider this carefully . ... .

It's a tough question to answer

Here's a dilemma for you.... With all your honor and dignity what would you
do?

This test only has one question, but it's a very important one.

Please don't answer it without giving it some serious thought. By giving an
honest answer you will be able to test where you stand morally. The test
features an unlikely, completely fictional situation, where you will have
to make a decision one way or the other.

Remember that your answer needs to be honest, yet spontaneous.

Please scroll down slowly and consider each line - this is important for
the test to work accurately.

You're in Florida...In Miami, to be exact... There is great chaos going on
around you, caused by a hurricane and severe floods. There are huge masses
of water all over you. You are a CNN photographer and you are in the middle
of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.

You're trying to shoot very impressive photos. There are houses and people
floating around you, disappearing into the water. Nature is showing all its
destructive power and is ripping everything away with it.

Suddenly you see a man in the water, he is fighting for his life, trying
not to be taken away by the masses of water and mud. You move closer.
Somehow the man looks familiar.

Suddenly you know who it is - it's George W. Bush!

At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him
away, forever. You have two options. You can save him or you can take the
best photo of your life. So you can save the life of George W. Bush, or you
can shoot a Pulitzer prize winning photo, a unique photo displaying the
death of one of the world's most powerful men.

And here's the question (please give an honest answer):

Would you select color film, or rather go with the simplicity of classic
black and white?

2. Easy.
Black and white. Because that's how George W. Bush would want to see it.

4. Wasn't this in the lounge...
....maybe last week?

I know I answered this question with in the last couple of weeks.

Anyway my answer is, I would save Bush*. I might hate the bastard but I am a better person than him, and don't believe in standing by and watching someone die.

6. But by saving him, you would be doing a disservice to the rest ...
Edited on Sun Jan-18-04 08:49 PM by kentuck
...of humanity? By letting him go, maybe you will save thousands of lives? Isn't your self-interest in saving your own soul by doing the "right thing" simply just a reflcetion of your life's religious indoctrination and your simple naivete, otherwise you would be looking at a bigger picture of humanity? :)

16. Ahhh, utilitarianism at its finest
As much as I loathe the man and feel that the Mother has every right to finish him off in that fashion, I would at least make the effort to save him. However, if I failed for whatever reason, I wouldn't have any trouble sleeping at night

7. I would choose option C
I would save Bush on the condition that he and his cabinet resign immediately from government. I would make a tape of this transcation, i.e. Bush swearing on his Christian honor that he would do this. Upon saving him I would immediately release the tape on the internet and higher lawyers from the A.C.L.U. and other organizations to ensure that I don't get Wellstoned.

10. His lawyers and true believers would say
that it was an agreement made under extreme duress and therefore nonbinding. We'd all be better off if you let him go...

Of course, then we'd have to deal with Cheney.

13. Black and white..
Seriously, I'd save him. But the conversation would go something like this:

<I reach my arm out while Bush is about to drown>
Me: Promise you'll resign?
Chimpy: Yes!
Me: Do you swear?
Chimpy: Yes!
Me: Do you pinky swear?
Chimpy: Yes!
Me: Oh, all right. I'm a softy.

And then I save him.

18. I would do unto him as I expect he would do unto me
You know, bush is one of those persons who would panic so badly, and thrash around so wildly, he'd take his rescuer down with him. Sort of the way he's taking the country down ...

bumper sticker/t-shirt slogan I have been mulling over. Something to the effect of:

I once opposed capital punishment. Thanks to George Bush, I have reconsidered.

Imagine the shock when he finds out that his saviour is an moral atheistic humanist.

21. Color, for sure!
I want to capture his lovely Texan coloring clashing against the dark muddy waters...

Sadly enough, although the question wasn't whether you would save him or not... I'd probably try to save him. But not after dunking him under a few times of course...

22. First, I'd contemplate a fully faith-based rescue...
After praying for divine guidance for several minutes , I'd save the s.o.b., for two reasons:

1) * is merely a puppet. He mouths the words, he takes most of the heat, but he's sure as hell not coming up with all the horse-flop he spouts off. He's not the head of the serpent -- if * vanished, the right wing would steamroller along just fine, sadly. The entire roster of PNAC signatories would have to be in the drink for a serious delimma;

2) After I rescued *, I'd make sure the media (the interviews, the talk-show rounds, the book, the TV movie, etc.) *knew* that I was a dyed-in-the-wool liberal. That's L-I-B-E-R-A-L!!!!

:toast:

23. Neither...
I would deliberately and methodically gather myself, as well as every tool in my reach, and, focusing every fiber of my being unto the gravity of the situation, begin an oil painting of the event.

saying I would save the s.o.b.! Thanks for the laugh and my personal preference would be b/w because it would enhance his very evil persona.
