Saddam's Ghost Ships - did we ever find them?
Saddam's WMD lab was supposed to be on two ghost ships floating around out there at sea somewhere? Does anyone remember this?

Did we find them (as if I have to ask)? Who made this thing up?

And that story is something I haven't heard about in months and months. I'm off to Google

Yep, it was three:

I'm still looking for the update to this lie.

2. here it is
"It reminds us of the story that the Pentagon office of disinformation floated, "on background," to the American press, in the period building up to the invasion, that Saddam had loaded all his WMD onto three ships that were sailing around in the Indian Ocean. (BuzzFlash is not making this up.) The American media ran with the story, including the Pentagon explanation that the U.S. military did not attack the ships because they were afraid of unleashing the catastrophic effects of the WMD's loaded onboard. Of course, the story was discredited within a few days, but the "fright scare" headline had done its work, adding to a daily diet of such fear-inciting stories apparently created by some mildly retarded offspring of a Bush administration official."

4. Funny thing is
All the reports seem to have used the same wording from one article in Worldnetdaily from Feb. 2003. Even all the blogs that spouted this crap used the exact same phrasing for the non-event. This was a very efficient coordinated disinfo explosion at the time.
