Dennis (R-Dittohead Peabrain ) Miller gets show on CNBC

His new hourlong show, "Dennis Miller," at 9 p.m. weeknights (with a repeat of one show on Sunday), will have its premiere on Jan. 26. It will include his usual venting on current issues, as well as interviews with political figures, journalists and others, and a nightly "right-left" debate among figures at different points on the political spectrum.

Pamela Thomas-Graham, president and chief executive of CNBC, said Mr. Miller's "kinetic energy" appealed to the network, now mostly an outlet for financial news. By hiring him, she said, CNBC hoped to retain and expand its daytime audience with a politically savvy show. She added that the CNBC daytime viewers were probably "interested in relaxing at night" with material that reached beyond Wall Street.

Ms. Thomas-Graham said Mr. Miller's political positions had played no role in the decision to hire him. "We are completely agnostic in that direction," she said. "We were looking for someone who has a point of view and is willing to defend that point of view."

3. At Least the P.O.S. Is Not on Faux
1) Perhaps it puts a curb on his wingnuttiness, and 2) Fewer numbers, less exposure.

5. It's sad, I used to like the guy....
I couldn't figure out why he made the switch and it still boggles my mind. I guess it's en vogue to be a rightwing looney.

It's sad because the guy was talented....

What's even more sad is I'll probably end up watching his stupid show. I'm interested in what the "left/right" take would be on his show. Something like

Hannity and

Colmes?

6. I don't know if he or Hannity and Colmes are more likely to hurt us
Something tells me I'd rather want people watching his show. He's probably more likely to have real liberal on with him

And also you never know if he'll shake off his midlife crisis and go back to being liberal

7. It's not likely....
He has his nose buried so far up Bush's ass he's not likely to come out for a few hundred years.

10. I don't mean to go on a rant, but
you're right. I'm actually stil shocked and disappointed that a semi-intelligent and funny person like Miller has been showing early signs of senility lately. He's become one of those repukes who is STILL obsessed with Clinton's penis and has his tongue so far *'s ass, he can taste what he had for breakfast.

Yeah..it distresses me because I used to dig the guy...now he's just another gullible asshole who believes that Bush is a moral guy....

8. if I hear his stupid comment
that he switched because 'the left has a problem with labeling people" one more time, I'll kick his ass

funny how Dennis has no problem with his new wingnut friends calling us communists, socialists, traitors, treasonous, unpatriotic, pro-Saddam, unamerican or any other ridiculous demonizing term

I'm sure he'll go back to his old self when a democrat is elected. He'll have a weak explanation and will try to stay in fashion. hopefully, no one forgives this washed-up M&Ms spokesman for his cravenness
