Mary MATALIN, 500 Dead Is Not Right
500 is *after* Mission Accomplished. There were a couple of hundred before that.

All for a lie, Mary.

1. It is right. I really believe that.
Having been checking in at both lunaville and pigstye since early last summer, the numbers have been consistent with what I hear reported. If the Pentagon was not releasing names, families would notice and we would hear about that. Pigstye even counted about 6 who died in Iraq and Kuwait prior to the invasion. 500 is still a sickening number.

2. I'm Not Clear (again) - 500 + 120 *is* Correct
What I'm saying is that these "pure" Repukes don't have a conscience. And I'm crying.

3. You are right; they have no conscience.
But it is 500 total. I think there have been another 100 losses in Afghanistan.

4. O.K., Let's Try Again
The numbers are correct. What I'm saying is that these dead shouldn't have died, O.K.,? am I clear now?

5. WHAT
about the ones that died from complcations
from their injuries?
I just had a thought. What about Starting
a petition to build an Iraqi Wall
right next to the Viet Nam Memorial?
I mean it, then maybe people will wake up and stop blotting it out
of their minds as to what is going on

6. 38,309 people died in motor vehicle accidents in 2002
that's one hundred people a day.

10. Was this a discussion of motor vehicle accidents in Iraq?
Your comparison is completely irrelevant and just a tactic used to muddy the waters. 500 US dead for a war based on lies. That's no accident.

7. Yes, and how about...
the thousands of Americans that have been wounded, in life changing ways. They will never be the same.

And how about the untold thousands more of Iraqis killed and maimed, the same as us.

8. I got a very interesting email
tonight, a guy who talks about "Ghost Troop" - the men who have died and whose deaths have been kept secret.

9. When will something be done about 39,000 killed in 2003,
Edited on Wed Jan-14-04 11:28 PM by shivaji
on our highways & roads in automobile accidents? Bush wants
to send man to the mars and we can't build auto's which are
any safer? 107 people killed every day is intolerable.

We also have the highest murder rate per capita in the entire
world. Something like 30,000 murders every year. The city I
used to live in, Chicago alone has 1000 murders every friggin
year. This carnage has to stop!

11. Are you suggesting we send more people to Iraq for their own safety?
What do car accidents and murders in the US have to do with a war based on lies? I agree that we have problems to solve here at home, but I don't understand the comparison.

13. But Mary Matalin thought this was a swell idea. What's the
problem? A little 'rat jumping from a sinking ship' syndrome? Or did she believe the idiotic mythology of precision weapons and bloodless wars?
