Something's fishy about O'Neill
He goes on 60 minutes and I can't count the number of times Susskind referred to the "documents" he had been handed by O'Neill. Now, O'Neill is a smart man. He's served in goverment and as a CEO for decades. And we should believe that he didn't think twice about taking documents to substantiate his claims in the book?

It reminds me of Madeline Albright who accused Bush of saving Bin Laden for an October surprise while on location at the Fox network studios.

These people aren't fools. What gives?

2. We're not fools either...
What gives with YOU?

The bush* (mal)administration is the most corrupt cabal of criminals in the entire history of our Republic. The only hope for democracy to survive in this country is for these miscreants to be brought down and thoroughly repudiated.

If you've got a problem with that, you're on the wrong website.

4. You miss my point totally...perhaps it's your ignorance that caused the
blindness.

6. And your point is...?
You asked "what gives?"

A former (mal)administration insider comes forward with some unflattering revelations -- I have no problem with that, whatsoever.

Furthermore, I submit that you have insufficient data on which to base a judgement of my "ignorance". Perhaps you would care to expound?

I don't need data to prove the obvious. You should go back, re-read my post and yours. There is nothing in my post that should have lead you to tell me I should be on another website. They have meds for your kind of paranoia.

9. Something bothers me about O'Neill, too.......
Sorry, I realize I'm a newbie here, too, but I don't know........just intuition or something. I feel a bomb coming from O'Neill. Something is wrong. Why did he turn around so quickly? And, I'll admit, it wasn't a complete turnaround, but he went from saying that this bunch was "pretty nasty" and "have a long memory," but that he wasn't worried because he's old and rich and they can't hurt him.....to saying that he will STILL vote for Bush? Hell, maybe I'm just being paranoid...

5. According to O'Neil.........
all of the documents he took were run through Snow before he left. Snow said there was no problem. If the Bushies have a complaint, they should talk to Snow.

11. O'Neill didn't "take" any documents with him at all.
He later called the Treasury Dept. lawyers and asked them to send any "appropriate" documents for his book, and they sent them.

12. so maybe they PLANTED some secret documents
Maybe they trapped him. Rove would do exactly that. Plant something incriminating, to be discovered later.
