1. Well,
this organization, since it has done a lot of good across the U.S., can make a few mistakes every now and again.

15. That was also my first thought. And my second thought was this:
The same values and laws I want to apply to me should also apply to every U.S citizen, even the ones that act in despicable ways. Privacy rights are a huge, huge issue in this country, and I would definitely take the time to study the ACLU's argument before "rushing" to judgment simply because I don't like Rush Limbaugh.

I'll get back to you when I know more about the ACLU's position. :)

2. Could be a good thing though.....
Next time Pigboy wants to trash the ACLU maybe he'll think twice or some caller will throw it in his face....

4. Delicious Irony
The ACLU is right to take this privacy case; I wonder if Limbaugh will accept their help?

5. The ACLU is there to protect people's civil liberties
Even if the people they are defending are drug-swilling scum of the earth. At least they are consistant. The fact that they are tagged as leftists should tell us that it is the left whose civil rights are most violated.

9. The ACLU is a double-edged sword when it comes to civil rights
It only makes their reputation stronger when they defend a scum-sucking gasbag like rush, the next time they rise to the defense of someone who doesn't have the same resources as the Rightwing Mouthpiece.

I support the ACLU and I support their right to defend Limpballs. Next time, it might be YOUR medical records on the line.

We can always hope there's a clerk in some doctor's office who just happens to have copies of those records, hmm?

12. They are protecting everyone by protecting Rush.
On NPR today ACLU was quoted as saying if this becomes precedent then all Floridians could have their privacy rights lessened. Isn't it interesting that Bush and Rush rhyme? I think I'll write a poem.

14. It just goes to show you...they back an issue and not
a political party. He always trashes them too! Will we ever hear an apology or retraction? I doubt that.....
