It's Product Rollout Time
Only this time we ain't buying

http://hartfordadvocate.com/gbase/News/content?oid=oid:31549

Ah, for the innocent days of last September! You will recall it was one year ago that White House chief of staff Andrew Card said, "From a marketing point of view, you don't introduce new products in August." Card was not referring to some innocuous national -- or empire-wide -- book circle presided over by Laura Bush or a pretzel-eating contest/fund-raiser hosted by the commander in chief.

No, Card was talking about the sales campaign that began last September for the war we are currently enjoying in Iraq and may soon be seeing in Iran and Syria. You will recall it was then -- with the willing participation of our nation's media, most notably Judith Miller of the New York Times -- that we began to be hammered, from all sides, about Saddam's nuclear capability, about his weapons of mass destruction, about his alleged ties to the Sept. 11 attacks, and so forth. All very ominous, all accompanied by multi-hued terror alerts.

1. Evidently the "product" for this year
is either going to be the "jobless recovery" or "David Kay's amazingly unsuspicious in any way and completely unphony evidence of WMDs from Iraq."

2. Usama must have been privy to the 'after' Labor Day sales tactic
since he hit us on 9/11? Coincedence? Perhaps?

3. I support a NEW WAR
Take all of our troops in Iraq, turn them south and drive straight into Riahyad!!! The Saudis are RESPONSIBLE for 9/11, it's time we DEAL with them.

Otherwise, bring our troops home NOW!!!

4. As I remember it
it took them quite a while to sell that war. The early polls showed a huge majority of the public to be against it. The Bushies kept hammering away at it, month after month, until finally the sheep became convinced and thought it was really a neat idea after all.

Like Brittney Spears says, let's just trust every decision our president* makes.

5. Democracy Now is doing this new bit
they are going back last year to the build up, tracing every step of the way, complete with Team bush* quotes and lies.

Amy Goodman said they will be doing that every day.
