Republican Chickenhawk Quagmire

The number of soldiers killed since the President's "Mission Accomplished" speech on the U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln is now greater than those who died during the war. Conservatives like Bush and others depicted in the Republican Chickenhawks Card Deck have never, ever enlisted in the armed services or put themselves in harm’s way to show their support for America in a war in which they were eligible to serve. In fact, they all avoided service in one way or another. Yet they seemingly have no qualms about the American troops or civilian casualties who have died as a result of the military action they initiated or the quagmire that has resulted. They have no conscience calling those of us who protest this war "unpatriotic".

Bin Laden is still loose, probably hiding in Pakistan. Saddam Hussein has not been captured, nor have any weapons of mass destruction been found. Saudi Arabia, from where several of the 9/11 hijackers received financial support, is given a free pass despite being a country that also harbors terrorists. Where is the outrage? Where is the accountability? $4 billion a month is being spent on occupation in Iraq with no end in sight, and our presence seems to have stirred up more terrorism, not suppressed it. These are exactly the kinds of questions that the conservatives identified in the Republican Chickenhawk card set -- who supported and rallied for war but who have never served themselves—refuse to address.
