"For God's Sakes, Vote Him Out"
Catholic priest and commentator Andrew Greeley

"There are two proportionate reasons for rejecting President Bush's bid for re-election. Both the United States and the world are a mess. Mr. Bush is responsible for both messes. The first president ever to claim de facto infallibility, Mr. Bush tells us that he follows his instincts in decision-making after praying over the decision and talking to God. He admits no mistakes -- how could anyone who has a direct link to God make a mistake!"

What a superb analysis by a good writer. (His mysteries sell well in Chicago) A great read, folks.

I also love how he compares Bush' infallability with that of the Pope's (He is infallable only on certain religious issues, and then only after much prayer.)

Best line?
"We want four more years of this stuff?"

"Do we want him to continue with these god-driven policies for four more years? Eleven hundred dead Americans already. How many more thousands will have to die before God will tell Mr. Bush to get out of Iraq? How many tens of thousands more Iraqis will have to die?" -- Greeley

This must have the Bush-Fundies spewing obscenities this morning.

3. His novels sell pretty well everywhere
But then, I have 40+ of his books, fiction and non...so you could say I'm biased.

5. Having made the entire world a mess will likely not cost Bush the vote
even one true-believing ideologue/religious zealot IMHO for they will march in lockstep through the gates of hell to the beat of their drummer like lemming rushing out to sea. Pathetically twisted and sad.
