It's "The Body" vs. "The Terminator" in a battle of political muscle pitting former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura against Gov. Schwarzenegger.
Ventura, known as "The Body" during his pro wrestling career, was hired by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians to take Schwarzenegger to the mat for accusing gaming tribes of ripping off the state.
The governor has made that accusation repeatedly while campaigning against Prop. 70, which would allow tribes to expand their gaming in exchange for paying the corporate tax rate of 8.84 percent. Schwarzenegger wants to negotiate his own deals, which would have tribes paying more.
In a TV ad that will run statewide the next two weeks, Ventura accuses Schwarzenegger of exploiting tribes. "He demands tribal governments pay three times more than other businesses," Ventura said. "That's not fair. I guess it's OK to rip off Indians."
