2. Interesting article, but fundamentally flawed math

It assumes that only 1 voter is changing their vote.

It also makes critical assumptions on turnout.

So essentially, if the turnout is exactly as the author expects, and only one person votes this way, then the article is correct.

3. The writer ignores one very important point.

The combined influence of your one vote can set the stage, with a very bad candidate, for the action that removes your ability to have any effect at all. In other words, you go from having a tiny effect to having a guaranteed zero effect-which is a 100% change in the effect of your vote. Any influence at all is always better than no influence at all.
